Chapter Thirty One

You woke up, yawning. You felt something warm wrapped around your waist. You slowly turned to check, only to see Jungkook dead asleep, giving you a warm backhug. It was cozy, part of you wanted to get away but you decided not to.

"y/n, please.." Jungkook mumbled. You raised your eyebrows, turning your head. He was mumbling things in this sleep. "I failed you..I'm sorry.." he continued mumbling. Hearing him say that made you feel depressed.

Jungkook suddenly hugged you tighter, making your face go a little red from his warm hug. Your heart was beating fast to the point it felt like it was about to burst out of your rib cage. You realized you felt something wet on your back, you turned to check. Your eyes widened, seeing tears dripping from Jungkook's eyes. 

was he..crying all night? You thought.

Jungkook sniffled. You couldn't help but remember what happened with Ji Hee and Jungkook.

he confesses to me and..starts hanging out with other girls?

You slightly clenched your fists, then taking deep breaths. You slowly held Jungkook's hand, detaching it from your waist. You succeeded to avoid waking the boy up. You were about to take a step until Jungkook grabbed your wrist.

Your eyes widened, turning toward the boy. Jungkook gave you a serious look but no words escaped his pink lips. Your eyes met the floors, you didn't want to talk either. He then pulled you closer, making your eyes grow even bigger. Jungkook hugged you tightly, you didn't know what to say.

"I am..so, so sorry.." he said, his voice shaking. You didn't know how to reply, you just stood there frozen. "I failed to protect you.."

You felt your heart beating fast, you felt your eyes getting teary remembering the incident last night. You fought back the tears, shaking your head mentally. He pulled you away, still holding your shoulders, "y/n,"

You lifted your eyebrows, still looking at the floor. "Please, look at me at least." Jungkook begged. You had no choice but to obey him, you met his dark brown eyes.

"Can you at least..talk to me?" 

You shrugged, not knowing what to say. Jungkook slowly nodded, letting your shoulders go. "Please, just stay in bed." He said, walking towards your bathroom before you could say anything. You did what he told you, you sat down on your bed, waiting patiently.

Jungkook came back, taking his seat beside you. You looked away, he cupped your cheek, leaning his head closer to yours. Your eyes widened.

He examined your lips, he noticed it was still bleeding a little bit. "Aish," he continued looking at your lips. You couldn't help but admire Jungkook's worried face, you missed that look of his. Then, his eyes met yours, you turned slightly red.

Jungkook slowly came closer to your lips, his lips were an inch away from yours. You wanted to kiss him, but after knowing him ditching you over Ji Hee kept ruining you. Jungkook quickly stopped when your lips was about to meet his, he quickly stood up.

You felt hurt. You wanted to kiss him, but it just felt wrong to you.

"y/n, I just want to hear your voice." He looked at you. "Please, just say anything." He begged.

You didn't reply the first. He sighed, turning away. "Whats going on with you and Ji Hee?" 

His eyes widened, shocked by your question. "What do you mean by that?" He asked.
