Chapter 29: Tess- So close, yet so far.

When the group woke the next morning, we were full of excitement and pride. With the new discovery with Maia, our team was stronger than ever before. As we started to pack up, I looked off towards the towers, they we’re so close, yet so far away. We had been at this for four days now, and it didn’t seem like we we’re making much progress.

“Everyone ready to go?” Lilac asked, her bag on the ground beside her.

“Yeah.” The rest of us said.  We began to walk once again, the land was free of creatures, most being nocturnal I believe, but that didn’t stop the occasional gusts of wind, full of dust.

“God dam this is annoying.” I heard Kade mumble.

“I think it’s best if you do the thing.” Ace said to me.

“Yeah probably.” I replied.  I hesitated though. “You know what? Screw it, we’re going to take a flying lesson.”

“Wait, what was that?” Victorie said.

“I said. We’re going to take a flying lesson.” I repeated. Snapping my fingers, I heard the wind whistle in my ears.  I started to levitate myself from the ground and I smirked. “Now, it’s your guys’ turn. Hold on to your things!” I snapped my fingers once again and everyone else was lifted into the air.

“This. Is. Awesome!” Lilac and Ace said at the same time. 

“We aren’t going to fall are we?” Alex said.

“Nope, not unless I want us to or something knocks me out and I stop thinking about it.” I answered.

“Also known as let’s just get going before something attacks us.” Ace said with a laugh.  I snapped my fingers once again and the winds pushed us towards the towers. In minutes we arrived just outside the towers. As predicted there were seven towers, each made of a material close to the castle back at the Kingdom. 

“Wow that sure resembles Blackrock doesn’t it.” Ace said.

“Yeah, it’s a bit disturbing actually.” I replied.

“It gives me the chills.” Kade said.

“Wait, didn’t King Swift help with our Kingdom’s rebuilding?” I asked.

“Sure did! I actually helped with the design plans, I was younger at the time so I wasn’t allowed to go and help.” He replied.

“That is so cool! That was when I was around six or seven I think.” Ace said.

“Yeah. I remember that day well. I actually, uh, doodled on the building plans as well if I remember correctly.” Kade said with a laugh. “I may have drawn a cat or something. I think the King joined in as well I believe.”

“King Swift sure is fun isn’t he? Reminds me of King Nilesy in a sense.” Moss said.

“I bet he doesn’t get his friends to dress up in costumes though,” Bryn said. “King Nilesy has this huge closet that he makes Ravs dress up in. It’s hilarious.” Nicolette smiled and nodded in agreement.

“Hang on guys! I’m going to place us down here!” I said, my voice loud over the roar of the winds. I stopped us all from moving. “Everyone! You need to hold hands, the spell needs to reach all of you!”

“Why didn’t we have to do this before?” Alex asked.

“Different spells, different rules.” Violet simply explained. We all grabbed hands and I looked around at everyone.

“On the count of three.” I said.

“One.” Victorie said.

“Two.” Aerith and Lilac said.

“Three.” Ace and Bryn finished. I nodded my head and we all sunk to the ground.

“That was awesome!” Violet exclaimed.

“Fast travel is beautiful isn’t it?” I said with a smile.

“Yeah, you should see her in the summer. Zipping around the training grounds and such.” Ace said.

“Oh quiet you.” I said, playfully punching him in the shoulder.

“Come on guys, let’s just get camp set up and get to bed. Tomorrow is the big day after all.” Maia said.

All the representatives and the chosen ones fell asleep calmly that night.

But, something was stirring in the towers.

They, had made a plan.

The lacky of the two was sent out, a book of magic in their hands.

The person went to seven of the group. And those seven were marked.

And they were taken.

Where you may ask?

The towers.

They were trapped in the towers, with no way of saving themselves.

Or even telling the others where they were.

Besides none of the other seven who were taken even knew that others were taken.

The next morning, was crazy.

And not in a good way.

A/N: Oooh! Stuff's happening! Not much to say today, things have been a bit boring recentley. Except for Canada winning gold in women's hockey. That was fun. If you guys didn't know I am from Canada, and my entire bus pratically exploded when it happened. My bus driver was kind enough to put it on the bus's radio for us to listen to, I kind of think he wanted to listen to it as well though.  In short, Canada + Hockey = Fun times, espcially if you are in school. Then they just play it in class whenever it is on.  Fun times are fun. Enough of my rambling, I've been Vicerry, take care guys! (Oh and yes, you guys get two chapters today, I really wanted to post more of this today :3)
