Chapter 38: Alex- Control

“That’s the last of those pesky shadow creatures.” I said, after stabbing another in the chest.

“Finally. I’m glad you all are safe by the way.” Tess said with a smile as she came floating down from the ceiling.

“Yeah, I am too, but something isn’t right.” Kade said.

“What do you mean Kade?” Victorie asked.

“I did a bit of research before leaving on our journey to the Kingdom of Blades. Turns out, three men, did something like this during the original battle for the Realm. I think, we may be dealing with the same people.” Moss explained.

“And you think these are the same people? The battle was over ten years ago!” Violet questioned. “Besides, you could just use the real name for the Realm, Mobiis.” Moss shrugged.

“The three men were young teenagers at the time. As were the Kings and Queens.” I added. “It makes sense.”

“Wait, I remember seeing one of them. Was one of the teenagers tall, and have blond hair?” Tess asked.

“You saw one of them?” Aerith said in surprise.

“Yeah, it’s the same one I saw.” Moss said crossing her arms across her chest.

“Well, well, well my friends. It looks like we have ourselves a party here!” A voice called out from somewhere.

“What the,” I said in shock.  I saw Ace and Tess look at each other in shock as well.  They mumbled something and looked around for the source of the voice.

“Ohh! Is that Tess I see down there?” A happy voice interrupted. “Hello! Bet you didn’t expect to hear me!”

“Kade? Is that you? Didn’t expect you here!” Another voice said.  Kade looked down to the ground, his hands clenched. Suddenly a loud rumbling noise was heard, and a dark panel moved upwards. Three men were standing behind it, they all were standing there happily. As if they enjoyed us seeing us fight.

“Dad?!” Tess yelled. One of the men, the one in the middle really, his eyes widened. This man was the shortest of the three, and his hair was black with his eyes dark blue. He was wearing a white suit with a blue tie.

“Chris? Who is this?” The man on the right asked. This one had blond hair with blue eyes. He had on a white lab coat, as well as jeans and goggles very similar to Kade’s.  The man now known as Chris mumbled something and the last man looked towards the floor.

“Duncan!” Kade yelled. “I knew you were trouble from the moment I met you!”

“Paul. Why would you do this.” Tess said with sadness in her voice.  Something flew past my ear, whistling as it passed by. A black arrow lodged itself into the wall, just above Chris’ head.  I looked back, and saw Victorie lowering her bow.

“Enough. We came here to destroy the darkness corrupting Moriis. We are not leaving without doing so.” Victorie said sternly. I felt the temperature drop in the room suddenly and Bryn walked up beside me. Frost was swirling around his fingertips, and an angry look was on his face.

“Now Chris, why don’t you tell your friend who Tess really is? I’m sure he would love to know what you’re about to do to your own daughter.” Ace said.

“You have a daughter Sips? Wow. Never struck you for the family type.” Duncan replied. His arms crossed.

“You guys! You didn’t tell me they were here yet!” A female voice yelled from behind the three. A new person appeared from the dark background. It was girl, she was short and had long black hair. One of her eyes was purple, while the other one was brown. While she was coming towards the men, she was fiddling with a flower type hair thing in her hair. She had on a red oriental type dress with golden accents as well as white shoes and tights.  But something else was off. Purple tattoo type things came up and covered most of her arms. Ending with a swirling pattern near her shoulders. The purple crept up and also covered half of her face, the side with the purple eye.

“Kim? Where have you been?” Duncan asked.

“Oh, just preparing and stuff. But you know, this head piece is really itchy.” The woman know known as Kim said.  I looked closer at the hair piece she had just fixed in her hair. It didn’t look right.

It looked like the device owl trainers used to help owls calm down.

Mind control in a sense.

This wasn’t her. The cloudy haze in her eyes, the way she’s standing. That hair piece is controlling her actions.

We needed to get if off.

A/N: Yeah, uh, I guess most of you weren't expecting Kim to be part of the trio. I wanted to include her for special reasons later on in the story. You'll see trust me.
