Chapter 9: Lilac- Partner.
I awoke with a headache, my head pounding. I rolled back over and shoved my face into my pillow, I heard the crinkling of paper and got up. ‘What could that be?’ I thought. I looked around for some paper and sure enough there was a beige piece of paper on the bed. I picked it up and some niceish handwriting was on it.
Lilac,
Meet me just outside the castle gates, I know you have a way in, right?
-Aerith
I got dressed into some shorts, a white tanktop and put a blue short sleeved sweater overtop. Walking outside, I lazily dragged myself to the castle still tired from last night somehow. I wondered about the others, how they were in real life, not just in a dream. Eventually I made it to the castle and I saw a girl who looked a lot like Aerith from last night waiting there. Her eyes lit up once she saw me, in her hands was a scroll with a green ribbon holding it shut.
“Lilac!” She called extremely excited.
“Aerith!” I yelled back. I ran up to her and gave her a hug. “It’s so cool to see you in person.” I whispered.
“Same here.” She replied. “Now, let’s get into that castle.” We walked to the gates and of course, was stopped by two guards.
“State your business.” One said.
“I wish for an audience with the Kings. It is of great importance.” I said, hoping to get in easily.
“The Kings are very busy, please come again another time.” The other said.
“Can you at least ask? Tell them it is of great importance, tell them Lilac Everfree needs to talk to them.” I pleaded.
“Go,” One said to the other. He left and the man stepped towards the middle of the doors. “Don’t get your hopes up kid.” The other guard returned moments later, a look of shock on his face.
“Go ahead. They are in the throne room.” The other said. I looked at the other guard and smirked. We walked past and I sighed deeply.
“Nice job Lilac, helps to know King Toby doesn’t it?” Aerith said with a grin.
“Oh quiet you. Let’s just get talking to the Kings alright?” We made our way to the thrones and the Kings were sitting, chatting to each other. King Littlewood had frost in his hair, he was starting to turn into Inthelittlefrost again, which meant a horrible time for Toby. King Littlewood, or Martyn would lock himself in his room and would leave Toby to make all the decisions. His aura was strong already and made Toby pass out every so often, it was stronger during the winter and who knows what would happen to Toby. Martyn didn’t even want to find out at this point.
“Lilac! How great to see you again!” Martyn called out happily. We got closer to the thrones and he came down, giving me a hug.
“Hello my King. Great to see you again too. I have some important information to tell you though.” I said a bit sadly.
“I think it is best if we clear the throne room Martyn.” Toby said. Martyn nodded and cleared his throat.
“Clear the throne room! Everyone please!” Martyn commanded, his voice echoed in the open throne room. Once everyone left I heard Aerith sigh.
“My Kings, my name is Aerith Ender, and I have an important message for you.” Aerith said, her voice a bit shaky. She unrolled the scroll, the green ribbon falling to the ground. “Hello King Littlewood and King Toby of the Kingdom of Sapling. My name is Aleria, and this is my representative for the Kingdom of Sapling, Aerith Ender, younger sister to King Rythian of the Kingdom of Blackrock. She is one of the six others who can travel between my world and yours. Lilac Everfree, along with six others are destined to save the Kingdoms from total darkness. Now, you must be wondering who is this Aleria? I am Aleria, Queen of the Aleruis realm. My world is bordered to yours, enough of that now, years ago a prophecy was made entrusting these seven to save our worlds from the darkness. This darkness has now arisen. I am asking for your permission to entrust Lilac to leave the Kingdom along with Aerith to go and meet up with the other six chosen ones to save the lands. But, you must give Lilac an item to show the other Kingdoms that they have your trust. As I know, and you know, some will be hesitant. Also, if you would be so kind to allow them to access the royal armoury, as we both know they must be protected. Thank you for your time, and to Aerith and Lilac, good luck. Signed Queen Aleria of the Aleruis Realm.” Aerith took a deep breath and closed the scroll.
“Wow.” I said, trying to take it all in. “You kind of forgot to tell me about that part Aerith.” She shrugged her shoulders and looked back at the kings.
“I have read this prophecy and it is indeed true and devastating. Lilac will go forth and carry out the prophecy.” Martyn said.
“Martyn! A word please!” Toby yelled, pissed off. The two talked quietly and Toby came away with a pissed off look on his face.
“As I was saying, you will take this Lilac.” Martyn pulled out a small bottle, filled with some white dust which was attached to a gold chain. I walked over to him and I bowed my head and he put it over my head. Toby grumbled something in audible and I looked over at him, a concerned look on his face. “Come on, let’s take you to the armoury.”
A/N: And so, Lilac and Aerith have met in the real world. But, why was Toby so concerned? Next we head on over to the Kingdom of Flight, where Alex and his partner, Maia, meet up, for the first time. Also, the next update might not be for a while due to exams *shudders*, I'll try my best though. To all my fellow Exam takers, good luck! I've been Vicerry, take care guys!
