Chapter 13: Kade- Finally.

I woke up with a sigh. Out of all the things that could have happened last night, I was the one whos representative didn’t show up. I didn’t know there name, what they looked like, or even if they were a boy or a girl! I groaned, but I heard the crinkling of paper. Looking for it I saw a piece of paper on my bed and what looked like a note was on it.

Dear Kade, (I hope that is your name.)

My name is Moss, I’ll be waiting for you at the castle gates, sorry I couldn’t make it last night. I wasn’t feeling all too great and wasn’t up for the journey to the Alerius realm. I’ll be holding a scroll that has an orange and blue ribbon.

I smiled and tucked the note into my pocket. Then it hit me, I was supposed to go to the castle today and talk to King Swift anyways! It was perfect timing, but I was hoping it was just going to be a small nice chat, not one about something as serious as this. I got up and walked downstairs, my hair in a mess.

“Morning Kade! Are you excited for today?” My mother asked.

“Yeah, I am. I’m leaving now alright?” I answered.

“Okay, one thing though.” She said, she came over and fixed my hair. “There, that’s better.”

“Thanks mom. See you soon.” I said, I left the house and made my way to the castle gates. There were a couple of people around, but none really stood out to me, until I saw one girl. She had green messy hair that went down to her neck and had paler skin with light green eyes. She had no shoes on, with a green cloak with a yellow border, a yellow shirt and some green pants. She was holding a rolled up piece of paper in her hands and was looking around for someone, but she wasn’t staring at people for too long. I walked closer to her, a smile upon my face. “Moss?” I asked as I got closer. She looked up, a confused look on her face.

“Kade Hallow?” She responded.

“You bet, if your my representative that is.”

“Sure am. It’s great to meet you, sorry about last night.” She said. I held out my hand and she shook it.

“Its fine, as long as we met up eventually, I didn’t mind.”

“So, how are we getting inside the castle?” Moss asked.

“Uh, well the King did invite me to visit him yesterday. So we can get in that way.”

“Great, let’s get going.”

“So, what’s the scroll say?” I asked as we walked to the gates.

“Just information about the prophecy and all that.” We got to the gates, and as I suspected we were stopped by the guards.

“I’ve been requested by the King, the name is Kade Hallow.” The two guards looked at each other and nodded.

“Go right ahead, the King is expecting you.” We walked inside and was greeted by a marble flooring and some stone walls.  The King was sitting on his throne, a black and white cat was sitting on his lap. As soon as the cat heard our footsteps he jumped of the King’s lap and left the room.

“Hello Kade! So glad you could make it!” The King said happily.

“Good morning my King, I’m sorry but our conversation is going to have to wait.” I said with a sigh.

“Oh, why’s that?” He answered.

“Because, something has arisen with the prophecy, and Moss and I are here to talk to you about it.” I said, gesturing to Moss.

“Please tell then, I’m listening.” King Swift said.

“Here it goes.” Moss undid the scroll and handed me the ribbon. “Dear King Chimney, my name is Queen Aleria, ruler of the Alerius realm. My world and your own is in danger, this can only be solved through the prophecy. Thus, I have alerted my representatives across the Kingdoms. Moss Shadow is the representative for the Kingdom of Swift and has met up with one of the seven chosen ones. As you may know Kade Hallow is one of the chosen ones along with six others, all in different kingdoms. I am here to ask you if you will allow Kade Hallow and Moss Shadow to go and fulfill the prophecy, they will also have to have access to your royal armoury as well as Kade must carry an item to represent your Kingdom as it states in the prophecy as well as the other chosen ones will be meeting in the Kingdom of Blades, being the closest to the outskirts. King Mitch and King Jerome will need to be able to recognise the chosen ones along with their royal guards and even the other chosen one’s themselves! I thank you in advance and hope you make the right choice. Signed Queen Aleria, ruler of the Aleruis Realm.”

“Alright, I’ll let you guys leave. Come on, let’s head down to the armoury.” King Chimney said casually. We followed him down and went inside this giant steal room. Moss went off somewhere in the room and the King brought me to a special place in the armoury. “For your token I’m giving you something no one has seen for a long time now. It holds a special place in my heart and I am sure it will bring you good luck Kade.” The King brought out a sheath, it was a brown leather, but inside was not what I was expecting. I gripped the handle of the blade and pulled it out. It was an oldish blade, made of a blue material. On it was some writing etched into the blade ‘The Wither Slayer’ it read.

“You’re trusting me with this my King?” I asked. Shocked more than I have ever been before.

“Yes Kade. I am.” He replied with a warm smile. He helped me attach it to my belt and I walked over to Moss. She held a golden scythe in her hands.

“Cool choice.” I said.

“Thanks, but I prefer to heal instead.” She said. “I still need to be protected though so.”

“That’s actually quite cool. So, I’ll head back to my house and meet up with you in the morning so we can head out?”

“Sounds good to me, see you in the morning Kade.”

A/N: And Kade has finally met his partner Moss, next up we head back on over to the Kingdom of Stars and see how our friends Violet and Honour are doing. I've been Vicerry, take care guys!
