Chapter 31: Alex- Grudges.

I opened the door to the tower in front of me.

“Maia!” I shouted. Looking up, I saw a cage suspended in midair inside was Maia.

“Alex!”

“I’m going to get you out of here! I promise!” I looked around for something to open the cage. But I couldn’t find anything. Suddenly a black swirl thing appeared just in front of us. What the hell is that?  Drawing my sword, I held it out protectively in front of me.

“Be careful Alex, you don’t know what this thing is capable of.” Maia said with a sigh. Looking closer at her, I saw she had a bit of blood on her cheek. The swirling vortex thing stretched and formed into a shape, but it wasn’t what I was expecting to see. The shape had become taller, the only feature on its face were its glowing, blue eyes.

“Hello Alex.  About time you showed up.” The shadow creature said.

“About time? Hpmh, sounds like I’ve kept you waiting.” I began. “Hope you don’t mind.”

“Not at all. Now, how about we discuss why you’re here.” The creature said. I began to walk around the room, in a circle pattern, trying to get the layout of the room. The creature followed my actions.

“I’m here because I want to get my friend back. The one you captured.”

“Oh so this is your friend eh?”

“Yeah, she is.” I snarled. As I passed by a window, I saw a faint sparkle to it. It has moon dust in it, maybe Maia can break it or something. Galaxy isn’t here after all, she needs to get in somehow.  I looked at the window, and back at Maia, I carefully brought my hand to my chest. Pointing where her necklace was, on my own body. Hopefully, she had gotten the hint.

“And what would happen if I were to hurt her? Hm?”

“You will pay. Greatly.” I growled.

“Well then, let’s see what will happen if I do hurt her.” The shadow said with a snarl. He waved his hand towards Maia, a bit of shadow coming off his hand and hitting her. Maia screamed in pain.

“Maia!” I yelled.

“Alex, don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine.” Maia said, her hair covering her face.  “Just kick his ass.” I smirked, and pulled out my sword.  I twirled it around once, and went closer to the shadow creature.

“So, you ready to fight?”

A/N: Sorry it's a bit short guys, and the fact it took so long to get out. I had major writers block with this chapter. But the next one should be up fairly soon. I've been Vicerry, take care guys!
