Chapter 3

I woke up to the sound of the door bell. I ran downstairs and opened the door. I saw Chris, Shawn, and Carter.

"Morning!" They yelled.

"Morning," I said.

"So how about you go put on appropriate clothes and we go out for breakfast," Shawn said.

"Even though I totally love what you are wearing," Carter said and winked. I looked down and finally realized I was in just an over sized t-shirt.

"Um yea just come inside and sit on the couch. I won't be long," I said. I ran upstairs and grabbed a pair of shorts and a T-shirt that says 'I only date ninjas' with the ninja turtles on it. I put on socks and high tops and walked downstairs. I wrote a note and left it on the fridge. I walked up to the boys and Carter took my hand.

"Shall we?" He asked.

"We shall," I said. We walked to the car and Me and Chris got in the back seat and Carter and Shawn got up front. We headed to the closest Waffle House. When we got there Chris sat beside me and Carter and Shawn sat beside each other.

We ordered our food and Chris wanted me to take a picture with him. He kissed my cheek and snapped the picture.

We got in the car and started driving.

"Where should we go?" Carter asked.

" I say to the movies or the park," I said.

"How about the park then the movies?" Shawn asked.

"Ok!" I said.

We got to the park and I sat down on the park bench as the boys ran around. My phone started ringing.

"Hello," I said.

"Hey! Why did you leave me? You know I need you! I miss my amazing girlfriend," My ex told me.

"Mason you can't do this. I broke up with you! You cheated on me with one of my best friends!" I said.

"You know it was a mistake! You don't understand how much I need you! I miss the way you used to play with my hair! Please just tell me where you are and I'll be there in a heartbeat," He said.

"Mason," I said.

"Please I need to see you," He said.

"I'm in Cali. I live here now with my brother," I said.

"WHAT?!?! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!!!" He yelled.

"Please quit yelling," I said.

"I'm sorry I just miss you and I wish you would have told me," He said.

"I know I just didn't want you to be mad at me," I said.

"I'm on my way to the Airport so I'll see you in a few hours," He said.

"Ok I can't wait," I said.

"I love you," He said.

"I love you to," I said and hung up. The boys ran up to me and said they are ready to go see the movie. Carter tried to grab my hand but I pulled away.

"Are you ok?" Carter asked.

"Yea I just got a lot on my plate right now," I said.

"Is this about that guy you told us about the other day?" He asked.

"I think it would be best if I just went home," I said. We got in the car and we headed home. We got there and I ran but Carter caught up and pulled me. Carter kissed me.

"What the hell?!?!?!" I heard. I pulled away and saw Mason.

"Mason I thought you wouldn't be here for a few more hours," I said.

"I was already on the plane when I called. What the hell was that?" He asked

"It meant nothing. You know how much I love you," I said.

"It may have meant nothing to you but it meant everything to me," Carter said and ran home. I tried to run after him but Shawn stopped me.

"Just give him a day," Shawn said.

"Shawn I hurt him. I need to make things better," I said.

"No Sky he's right! I'm here now and I'm all you need," Mason said.

"Mason you don't understand!" I said and ran to Carter's house. I knocked on the door. I walked in the house and ran upstairs to Carter's room. I walked inside and saw him throwing things.

"Carter please calm down," I said.

"CALM DOWN?!?!?! HOW CAN I CALM DOWN WHEN YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ME THE WAY I CARE ABOUT YOU?!?!?! I'VE ONLY KNOWN YOU FOR THREE DAYS AND I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH YOU!!!" He said pushing me against the wall. Chris, Shawn, and Mason walked inside the room. Carter backed away from me.  Mason grabbed my hand and tried pulling me away.

"No Mason I need to make this right!" I said.

"I think it would be best if you guys left. Now," Carter said looking me in the eye.

"Carter," I said.

"GET OUT NOW," He said raising his voice. Everyone walked out but me.

"Carter please just let me explain," I said.

"What? Tell me how you led me on and then put this shit on me!" He said.

"I never intended to hurt you! I care so much about you but I promised him that I wouldn't fall for anyone!" I said.

"Promises are meant to be broken! Tell me something. Did you ever really care?" He asked.

"Of course I did! You three boys have been nothing but good to me. The way you stood up for me. I really care about you Carter. I never meant to hurt you," I said.

"Did that kiss really mean nothing to you?" He asked.

"I honestly don't know Carter. It happened out of no where," I said.

"So that means it meant nothing to you," He said.

"Carter," I said. He grabbed me and walked downstairs. He opened the front door and put me on the front porch.

"Get off my porch and never talk to me again," He said and slammed the door in my face. I ran home, ran up to my room, and laid on my bed and cried. Mason came in and tried comforting me.

"Mason just stop. You wanted this to happen," I said.

"But I didn't want you to get hurt," He said.

"Well I am," I said. I ended up falling asleep in his arms.
