Chapter 9

         *Matt's POV*

I woke up hating myself. I got in the shower and then got dressed and left to Cam's house. Once I got there I knocked. His mom answered.

"Hey Honey are you here for Cam?" She asked.

"Yes Ma'am," I said.

"He's upstairs in his room honey," She said. I ran upstairs and saw Cam sitting on his bed.

"Hey man," I said.

"Hey man. Have you heard from her?" Cam asked.

"No, I wish. I fucked up big time. I don't know why I did it. She's the only girl I find perfect. Man I need your help," I said.

"She's on her way over. Man just tell her what you just told me and maybe it will work. If it don't then you may not ever get her back," He said. The door bell rang. Skylar walked up and saw me.

"Why are you here? Cam I thought you were taking me out for ice cream?" She asked.

"Matt wants to talk to you first," He said.

"Cam can you give us a minute?" I asked

"Yea," He said. He walked out and Skylar just stood there.

"Skylar I just want you to know I don't know why I did that. I'm not that type of person. You are the only girl perfect to me. I understand we only dated for 2 days but I love you. I get it I fucked up but I promise it won't happen again. I waited all night last night for a good night text and once I realised I fucked up I just couldn't fall asleep. Please please please forgive me," I said.

"For one how can you say you love me when you don't know me? For two how do you expect me to forgive you? You hurt me Matthew! You knew Mason hurt me before for the same exact thing! Why Matthew?!?!" She said.

"Please quit calling me Matthew. I didn't do it on purpose. I don't know what came over me but I do know I love you," I said.

"Cheating on someone is not showing them you love them, it shows them that you thought that other person was better than them and you wanted to keep it from them so they don't get hurt but once they find out they know that you never cared. That thing about waiting for my text was just so you wouldn't have to feel guilty. You don't love me Matthew, You just think I'm pretty," She said.

"Sky-" I said but she cut me off.

"No Matthew. I'm done. I'm tired of getting hurt over the same thing. I just can't believe you would do something like that. Bye Matthew," She said and walked out. Cam walked in.

"What happened man?" He asked.

"She'll never forgive me. She hates me. I hurt her just like the last guy. I just let the perfect girl get away from me because I decided to fuck up. She will never look at me the same," I said.

           *Skylar's POV*

I was about to walk out but Cam's Mom stopped me.

"What's wrong sweetie?" She asked. I noticed I was crying.

"Um nothing Ma'am. Just had a talk with Matthew but everything is ok," I said.

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"Yes Ma'am," I said.

"Sweetie we can talk about it," She said.

"I actually really don't want to talk about it," I said.

"Ok Sweetie," She said. I walked out and started walking to the ice cream shop. It wasn't really far but it is. I saw a car pull up next to me. I looked and saw Taylor.

"Hey beautiful why are you walking alone?" He asked.

"I was going to the ice cream shop," I said.

"Get in I'll take you," He said. I got in the car and wiped away my tears.

"Why were you crying?" He asked.

"Nothing," I said.

"Don't lie to me beautiful. Tell me," He said.

"Matthew," I said.

"Oh so I guess y'all talked," He said.

"Yea," I said.

"So what happened?" He asked pulling up to the drive thru for the ice cream.

"He asked me to forgive him and I said no," I said. Taylor ordered our ice cream and pulled up to the first window.

"No way that's all you guys talked about," He said paying and getting our ice cream. I told him everything Matthew and I talked about.

"Bae you deserve better. You don't deserve to be hurt by all of these guys. You are perfect and beautiful and everything a guy should want. I don't understand why someone would cheat on someone perfect like you. Sweetheart you are perfect and if any guy makes you feel like you aren't then that means they don't know how to treat a lady." He said.

"Thanks Taylor! I love you," I said.

"I love you to beautiful," He said.

"Can you take me to Nash's House please?" I asked.

"Yes Cupcake!" He said.

"Why do you keep calling me silly cute pet names?" I asked.

"Because I can baby cakes!" He said. We pulled up to Nash's house and I got out of the car. Taylor left and I knocked on Nash's door. He opened the door and let me in. We walked upstairs to his room and sat down.

"Tell me everything that happened between you and Matt," he said. I told him everything.

"If you want you can stay here. I'll sleep on the floor and you have the bed," He said. I nodded. I grabbed my phone and text Shawn.

To: Shawn
Hey sorry I haven't talked to you in a few days but just wanted to say good night and I love you.

I put my phone down and laid in Nash's bed. My phone vibrated.

From: Shawn
Its ok. I wish you wouldn't have left that day but its ok. I love you to beautiful. Sleep well princess.

I put my phone down and went to sleep. Finally a peaceful sleep just because of one text message.
