•Chapter 28•

"I was just...... Jealous.. I guess.." Shadow said as he looked away from your gaze, and his muzzle changing to a slight color pink.

You looked at him with so many questions about what he meant.

"What do you mean you were jealous....? " You questioned.

He sighed.

"It's hard to explain and I can't say.... " Shadow huffed and scratched the back of his head.

You blushed slightly and just averted your gaze away from the ebony hedgehog. To think that something was bothering the ultimate lifeform was actually very surprising to think about. But as you thought about it more, the urge to find out what it was, was getting the best of you.

"Please try to explain as best as you can... " You asked once more.

He sighed once more.

"I-I'm worried about you... " He lied.

Even though it wasn't a full lie, Shadow lied to you not wanting you to find out about his feelings towards you.

"Please don't worry about me to much okay.... I hate to worry you or Sonic.. " You said grabbing his hand and holding it.

Even though Shadow wanted to pull his hand away and just blow you off, he didn't for his feeling were getting to him. But even though they were getting to him, he kept his cool not wanting you to think differently of him.

Shadow looked at you and just nodded his head.

"Alright then.. " Shadow finally said.

"Thank you.. " You said as you hugged him gently and stood up.

Shadow watched you as you walked to your room and closed the door quietly. He stood up and a light shade of pink came across his face remembering how you just held his hand.

But as he was wrapped in his thoughts he didn't notice Sonic looking at him.

"Sooo... How did it go~?" Sonic asked with a slight bit of tease in his voice.

Shadow looked at him and just shook his head.

"I can't do it... I can't tell her... " Shadow said still looking at his hand with that shade of pink still across his face.

Sonic just sighed, shook his head and put his hand on Shadows shoulder.

"You have to tell her before we leave this place Shadow, you have to....! " Sonic whisper yelled at Shadow.

Shadow looked at Sonic and just nodded his head slightly before his muzzle turned a brighter pink.

"Alright fine just stop teasing me about it damn it... " Shadow said as he pushed Sonic's hand off of his shoulder and walked into the living room.

Sonic stood there in the hallway just looking in both directions. The direction of your room. And the direction of the living room.

"How can I help them confess to each other...? " Sonic asked himself mentally.

•Time Skip: Night time•

As you walked out of your room and into the living room, you saw Sonic sleeping on the couch snoring softly. You walked over to Sonic and gently draped a blanket over him.

Turning away you walked into the kitchen and looked around. Your eyes landed on the back door that was half way. You walked over to the door and peaked outside. As you looked outside you saw Shadow standing in the backyard looking up at the night sky.

Taking a deep breath you open the door, walked outside and closed the door softly behind you. You huffed softly and quietly walked over to Shadow.

"It looks nice out here tonight doesn't it..? " You said making Shadow look at you.

"Oh hey (Y/N), yeah it looks nice out here..." Shadow said as he turned his attention back to the sky.

As you walked beside Shadow and joined him, you couldn't help but blush at the thought that Shadow was actually being nice to you.

"What is going on with Shadow the hedgehog..?" You asked yourself mentally.
