Angelo
"Well, we can't just do nothing!" I exclaim.
No one says anything for a few minutes and I look over at Grace on the floor. I wonder if she knows what happened. Can she hear us? Can she hear anything? I walk over and stand above her, then I bend down and pick her up. I carry her over to the table that is empty, thanks to Byron, and I set her down carefully.
"Something's wrong," James says.
I turn around to him. His eyebrows are pushed together in confusion and he's staring off into the distance.
"What is it?" Dalia asks, crouching next to him.
"Alexander is gone," He says.
"What do you mean, how is he gone?" Byron asks, walking over to him.
James shrugs. "I don't know. One second he was in my head, and the next he was gone,"
"That doesn't make any sense. How would he get out?" I watch as Byron looks around at all of us as if we have the answer somehow.
"James, you're bleeding," I watch as Dalia pulls out a tissue and cleans up the blood that has begun to flow out of James's nose and eyes.
"What the hell is happening?" I ask.
I watch as James shifts against the chains until he manages to pull his arm enough to look at it.
"Look," He says.
I walk over and see the infinity marking glowing a bright orange color.
"What does that mean?" Dalia asks.
"Maybe it means that Daxia is dead," Sebastian says.
"Why would it mean that?" Dalia asks.
"Because James and Daxia are linked," I say.
She stares at his marking for a while before standing up and stepping away.
"She's not dead, I think she tried to use the link to talk to me somehow, but she couldn't," James says. I look over at him and the streaks of blood on his face.
"Because Alexander was in your head," Byron says.
James nods.
"But she's not dead. I can still feel her," He says.
"Okay, but how did that result in Alexander vanishing?" Lola asks.
"What if he didn't vanish?" James asks.
"Elaborate please," I look over at Neil who hasn't even spoken this entire time.
"What if when Daxia tried to use the link, he somehow was able to transfer himself into her head?" James asks.
I watch as Byron shakes his head.
"That doesn't make any sense, why would he do that?" He asks.
"Well, they don't know that he's dead. He has the element of surprise. Maybe he thinks that if Daxia doesn't know he's in there, he'll be able to control her easier," Dalia says.
"But why would he want to control Daxia? That doesn't make any sense, I mean he wanted to get rid of her, Lincoln, and Nicholas. And he did, he left them in Brooklyn. So why go back now?" Sebastian asks.
"That's exactly why. He wanted to get rid of them. He wanted them to die. When Daxia used to link, he must have figured out that she wasn't dead. And now he's probably trying to kill her," Byron says.
"Which means that we need to get back to Brooklyn, now," I say.
"I can take us back," James says.
We all turn to look at him.
"How? You don't have teleportation powers," Lola says.
"No, but Alexander did. And before she attacked Grace, we realized that I'm able to use his powers too," He says.
I walk over and pull the chains out of the wall, and break the ones around James.
"What are you doing?" Dalia exclaims.
"I'm setting him free so that he can take us back," I say.
James stands and then Lola hands him the key to the cuffs. He takes them off and then rubs his wrists.
"But Alexander," Dalia says.
"He's gone. James said so," Lola tells her.
"Come on, let's go," Byron motions to James.
They head out of the room and the rest of us follow.
"Wait!" Dalia calls.
She runs over and steps in front of Byron, blocking his way.
"Dalia what are you doing?" He asks her.
"I can't let you do this. I can't let you take us back there," She says.
"Our friends are there. Your brother and sister are there," Sebastian says.
"I don't care. We can't. Wherever Daxia goes, trouble will follow, always. That's just how it is. And I don't want any more trouble," She says, narrowing her eyebrows.
"What are you talking about?" Lola asks.
"I'm talking about how Daxia is dangerous and we can't have her here attracting more danger to us," Dalia says.
"Dalia, get out of the way. We need to get back to Brooklyn," Neil steps out and walks over to her.
"Neil you don't get it. We can't go back there," She begs.
I watch as Neil grabs her and throws her over his shoulder, moving her out of our way. Dalia becomes hysterical, thrashing around violently and screaming at Neil to put her down.
"Stop! Neil, you don't understand, we can't go back!" She screams.
The rest of us watch in silence as he carries her over to where James was chained up a few minutes ago and sets her down. He begins to cuff her arms and legs with new chains until she is secured to the wall. She finally stops moving and she slumps down onto the floor, looking up at us with makeup running down her face.
"We're all going to die," She mumbles.
Nobody says anything as we all walk out and crowd into the elevator. I turn around and watch her as she stares at us until the doors close.
