"We've got a mission for the rest of you,"

It's been about ten minutes since Byron and the others left when Mr. Patel comes down to the training rooms.

"We need you to go check out the East River. There have been sightings of something down there, and whatever it is, is killing both humans and supernatural creatures."

I look around at the rest of group that remains. Alexander, Angelo, Nicholas, Dalia and Neil. There's no way that we can defeat something with just the six of us. Especially when two of us don't really know how to fight.

"But we've only been training for three days," Dalia says, reading my mind.

"We aren't sending you or Neil. As for the rest of you, you will be heavily armed, and one of my best fighters with accompany you," I watch as a woman enters the room.

She is wearing the same outfit as the rest of us, and carries a sword on her back. I can see two guns holstered on either side of her hips as well.

"This is Genevieve. She'll be going with you," Mr. Patel beings walking away.

"Wait, you want us to go now?" Angelo asks.

"Well of course," Mr. Patel says.

I watch as the elevator doors shut, and then i turn to look at Genevieve.

"Better get your weapons ready," She says.

I walk over and pick up a silver bow, along with a quiver of arrows. I walk over to the guns and grab one of them, sticking it into the side of my jeans. Next, I grab two small pocket knifes and slip them into one of the pockets of my pants. I walk over to Angelo, who already has two swords at his sides. Alexander walks up and I notice he doesn't have any weapons. I raise my eyebrow at him and he shrugs

"I don't need any weapons," he says.

I turn around as Nicholas comes up, fastening the leather belt around his waist. He picks up a gun off of the table and looks at the rest of us.

"Great, follow me," Genevieve says, leading us out of the room.

"Alright, we're almost to the river. Now remember, we can't get too close, we don't know what we're up against yet.

We slowly make our way to the river. Genevieve leads the way, with Angelo, Nicholas and I in the middle. Alexander takes the rear. We reach the docks on the side of the river, when I notice that there is nobody around.

"Where is everyone?" I ask.

Genevieve doesn't look back as she answers.

"We had some warlocks put a spell on the city to keep people indoors and out of danger," She says.

I look around and grab an arrow out of my quiver, holding it up in the bow. I look around at the empty docks, and the water that seems too still.

"Hey look over there," I look over at Alexander, who points off to the side.

I look over to where he's pointing and see a man off in the distance.

"That can't be right, no one should be out right now, the spell hasn't been lifted," Genevieve whispers.

I see her grab one of her guns. I look up and watch as the man slowly approaches us. As he get's closer, I can tell that he's older, probably in his mid-fifties. He wears a brown coat, and jeans tucked into black boots. His face is partially concealed by a hat that he wears. We all spread out as the man gets closer and closer. When he's about ten feet away from us, he stops and stands there. Even though I can't see his eyes, I can tell that he is looking right at us.
