Chai and Josh both look at each other with confusion and get up from the bay window and leave the room entering the living room and see Maya and Riley with a shocked expression while Farkle, Zay, and Smackle looked serious as they were watching the news.
"Guys what's wrong?" Josh asks curiously Maya turns up the volume so they can hear the tv.
"Hello my name is Bryan and I'm here in New York where right behind me used to be an old abandoned warehouse but was burned down last year. This happened last year just like the disappearance of Charles Gardner, a ex professor from Pennbrook. Last year, Charles decided to live with a family member, a couple of days passed and he received a mysterious phone call and the next day Charles didn't come home. It was then after 24 hours that Charles was declared missing, during the investigation the police had no clues whatsoever until today where an anonymous phone call was made which helped the police where apparently someone was planning to hurt Charles and made them realize that the warehouse and Charles are perhaps linked together for the warehouse blew up the same day that Charles disappeared. The police are now declaring this a homicide. The police force are now questioning family members if anyone has information please call..." the tv was turned off by Maya who was beyond shocked as she turned and faced her friends who were all shocked.
"Charles is dead." Riley said in complete shock. "Not only that but he was related to Charlie Gardner, that must be another reason why he hated you, Maya." Zay added. "Do you think Charlie is coming back since their questioning family members?" As they were talking about what they just witnessed Farkle was in deep thought and thought back to his last conversation with Charles.
"Farkle your a genius I'm certain that you what I was trying to tell you." Charles answered as he sip his coffee.
"No, no... no! I known Lucas since seventh grade and he isn't that kind of person who will betray us! Besides theirs no evidence!" Farkle responded quickly defending Lucas.
"Fine, Mr. Minkus. Don't trust me but remember... everyone has a dark side that they try to hide but in the end it comes out." Charles replies and stands up.
Then Farkle remembered what Charles whispered to him after the hearing.
"You know the old saying of keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer. Well you enemy may be closer than you think, Farkle."
Chai noticed that Farkle was spacing off, "Farkle are you alright?" Chai asked cautiously. "No not all, Chai." Farkle responded with serious expression.
Farkle pulled Chai aside and looked at Chai with a serious expression.
"Chai, before Charles left he told me something and I now think he was telling the truth along, but I need evidence to see if he was telling the truth and I need your help with that. Your the only one who can help me with this." Farkle said. "Chai will you help me?" Farkle asked Chai thought about it and even though what Charles did to her, Riley, and Maya were awful he didn't deserve to die in cold blood.
"I'll help, Farkle. So what's first?" Chai asked.
