It had been a week since Bayley, Sasha visited and Riley announcing that's she pregnant when Riley and Maya told their friends they were beyond excited and couldn't wait till the baby was born. Maya had told her parents about the news and were excited and will try to visit frequently

Riley was scheduled for her first consult that afternoon and woke up feeling sick. She had gotten used to the morning sickness but some mornings were better than others. Maya was being a huge help and had been getting up at the same time as Riley to pack lunches and make breakfast incase she wasn't feeling her best.

Maya started making scrambled eggs and cut up some ham into small strips before throwing them into the pan. Riley exited the bathroom and went to find some clothes for John. She came back into the living room with a bin and told Scott to start packing up his blocks. He did as he was told.

Maya split the eggs into thirds and split Scott portion in half. She gave the extra eggs to Riley and set the table.

"Peaches, we are never eating ground beef again, okay?" Riley ordered
Maya knew not to argue with Riley since she was now sort of experiencing mood swings which scared Maya a lot because she never thought she'll see Riley like that.

"Still not feeling well honey?" Maya asked, "I feel fine, It's just this disgusting food. And we are never... ever eating it again." Riley replied and Maya nodded.

Riley and Maya dropped Scott off at his grandparents house and headed straight to their doctors appointment they arrived and waited for their turn

"Riley! The doctor will see you now" A nurse from behind the counter called out.

"That was quick." Maya said surprised it was their turn now the two walked into Exam room 2.

Riley sat on the table and Maya pulled a chair up next to her. The doctor walked into the room and shook both Riley and Maya hand.

"So Riley how have you been doing so far?" The doctor asked, "I been doing fine in still having morning sickness." Riley answered. "Don't forget the mood swings." Maya said and received a evil glare from Riley as the doctor laughed at Maya's comment.

"Now Riley, because your still small we won't be using the sonogram but instead a internal camera." The doctor explained Riley nodded and sat back onto the exam table. The doctor put on a mask and latex gloves. She brought over a monitor and sonogram machine and parked it next to Riley.

"Okay Riley, feet in the stirrups please" Dr. Silvann requested while laying a blue scrub blanket over Riley's legs. Riley raised her feet and scooted to the end of the table. She took a deep breath and reached for Maya's hand who lightly squeezed back. The doctor turned on and prepped the sonogram machine. She injected the long, camera into Riley who took an irregular breathe.

Maya noticed Riley was uncomfortable and worried Maya gently stroked Riley's hair and smiled and stroked back her bangs.

"Okay Riley, look here on the screen" stated the doctor Maya and Riley turned to face the monitor.

Both girls gasped when they saw the tiny figure on the screen. Riley squeezed Maya's hand harder as her eyes started to fill with water.

"Riley, don't cry. This is a happy time okay? Everything looks good" The doctor reassured Riley as she raised her hand to the monitor.

"If you look here, you can see the head and that thumping is the heart beat. Good and strong. Your baby is still very, very small because you aren't even 3 months along yet." The doctor explained.

"Our baby. Oh my God, it's beautiful! I can't believe this is actually happening." Maya said as she cried happily that they were seeing their baby.

"And it's ours!" Riley cried happily.

"I love you, Riley. Thank you." Maya said as she reached over and shared a passionate kiss with Riley.

The doctor froze the image and removed the camera from Riley who breathed a sigh of relief.

"I'll leave you two alone for a minute while I write up your prenatal prescription" The doctor said as he left the room.

Riley laid her head back onto the table, happily starring at the image on the screen as a tear fell from her eye. Maya gently wiped her cheek and kissed her lips. Maya brought her head up again and smiled at their unborn child.

"It's all so real to me now" Maya said with a big smile, "I know, Maya, this baby is a miracle and I can't wait to see him or her and finally get to hold the baby." Riley replied.

"It's really small. Is that normal?" Maya asked worried that perhaps something is wrong with the baby.

"I'm barely three months Maya, and the doctor said everything is fine. Until she says otherwise, please don't be scared okay?" Riley said assuring Maya who nodded and kissed Riley again.

The doctor entered the room and handed both girls five sonogram pictures of the baby Maya and Riley smiled as they stared at the sonogram picture of their unborn child.
