The next day, Maya and Chai headed to Chai parents house for Chai is going to tell her parents about Jacob and Maya is her moral support. They we're outside the house and just as Chai was about to knock on the door she stopped midway and faced Maya worriedly.
"I don't know if I can do this, Maya. If I tell them what happened then everything will change nothing will be the same. I thought I gotten over this but I haven't because I'm weak and...." Chai was cut mid- sentence by Maya who held Chai face gently to face her.
"Chai your one of the strongest people I know! Your right that things will change but remember that I'm here for you and I'll always will be. And don't forget about Josh, Riley, Farkle, Zay, Smackle, and Lucas. C'mon I'm right beside you." Maya says with an encouraging smile and Chai nodded.
"Thanks Maya, I really appreciate it." Chai said with a smile that Maya returned Chai faced the door and knocked on the door twice the door was opened by Josh which surprised Maya and Chai.
"JOSH!" Both Maya and Chai shouted surprised to see Josh here but became more surprised when Josh stepped aside and seeing Riley, Farkle, Zay, Smackle, and Lucas seating in the couch. Britt and Dylan then entered the living room and sat down on the couch. Maya and Chai entered the house and sat on the couch that Riley was seating on as Josh closed the door and sat beside Chai.
"Guys what are you doing here?" Chai asked confused as she noticed her friends share worry looks to each other. Josh held Chai hand which grabbed her attention.
"Chai ever since your dad birthday party you been acting odd, is everything okay?" Britt asked with concern Chai looked at everyone and finally at Maya who gave her a encouraging smile and then held Chai hand as support Chai slightly smiled and faced her parents.
"Mom, dad, I been keeping a secret from you since I was nine years old because I knew once I told you everything will change especially your relationship with Jacob, dad." Chai said which confused Dylan and Britt.
"Chai you know that you can tell us anything and nothing will change, remember when you told your father and I that you were bisexual and even then nothing changed." Britt replied but became worried when she noticed the expression on not just Chai face but Maya as well.
"Mom this will change everything and I'm sorry that I never told you this but I was terrified. Mom, dad, when I was ten years old I was... molested.... by... uncle Jacob." Chai confessed as she faced her parents and saw their shocked expression Maya noticed that their friends where shocked as well especially Josh and Lucas.
"Wh... What are you talking about Chai? My brother would never do especially since he's a cop." Dylan replied with a hint of anger which made Chai flinch and Maya staring at Dylan with a hint of anger.
"Chai isn't a person who will make something this up! And you should KNOW that ESPECIALLY since she's your DAUGHTER!" Maya said defending Chai before Dylan could respond back.
"Chai how come you never told your parents or us?" Josh asked. "Like I said I was scared that everything will change that my parents will see me as someone vulnerable and my parents not believing me." Chai answered sadly as her friends looked at her with pity and couldn't comprehend that this happened to Chai.
"But when did this happen? I mean we're always their anytime Jacob visited us in California?" Britt asked.
"It was your wedding anniversary and Jacob surprised us with a visit since the two of you barely go out by yourselves, Jacob volunteered to babysit me after you left he told me that he had special surprise for me but it was in my room so we headed to my room and as I was looking for the surprise he closed the door then locked it and then..." Chai was immediately cut off.
"ENOUGH! I refuse to believe that my brother would do that to my daughter. He was happy when your mother and I told him he was going to be an uncle and you expect me to believe that. Why couldn't you have tell us?" Dylan asked desperately
"Because I know how much you look up to your brother! You view him as your idol because he always protected you and was their for you! Besides couldn't you see how I acted whenever he came to visit us." Chai answered angrily.
"I thought it was just because of the move and how you were going to miss all your friends it wasn't till you met Maya that we realized how much happier you looked. I'm sorry, Chai. I'm so sorry that we... didn't notice." Dylan replied as tears fell from eyes Chai also had tears falling from her eyes.
Riley, Farkle, Zay, Josh, Smackle, and Lucas were completely shocked hearing what happened to Chai and how her uncle could do that to her. Chai stood up and stared angrily at her dad.
"You think an sorry can make up with what happened! Nothing can make up with happened to me! The fact that you didn't notice how I acted when he was around me proves that..." Chai was cut off by Maya who put her hand on Chai shoulder which made Chai turn around and face Maya with an angry look as Maya stared at Chai with a serious yet concern expression.
"Chai, I need you to calm down before you say something that you'll regret." Maya said calmly and then faced Chai parents.
"I know that finding out what happened has changed everything and I know that the two of you still want to talk to Chai but I think that Chai is done talking about this and needs time alone right now so will be leaving." Maya explained Dylan and Britt cautiously nodded and watched as the group of friends existed the house as the group walked in silence to the Matthews apartment Chai stopped walking which gained Maya and Josh attention.
"Maya, Josh, I need to talk to the two of you in private." Chai said Maya and Josh looked at each other and nodded the three left and followed Chai to where she wanted to go.
I decided to upload a new chapter because Sabrina Carpenter is coming to where I live so I might get to see her and finding out that I'll might get to see her perform I decided to update! I even decided to update the new chapter of my book if y'all want too.
The new book will be called Down With The Beautiful. It is a Rilaya book.
