Chapter 30

"Can I ask you something?" Nora spoke as she packed away her things from the hospital bed, the box that Adria had brought her which contained some things that the girl thought where a must - but really was just a whole lot of fudge flies and a few 'necessities' - was now sitting on the unoccupied hospital bed with Nora standing over it, folding a blanket of James' that she made Remus steal for her.

She smiled softly when James' arms slipped around her waist, leaning his head on her shoulder, he spoke, "you can ask me anything, love."

"I just want you to know that I'm only curiously, by the way," she smiled, turning her head quickly to kiss him, "but why did you get so angry about me staying at Remus'?"

A sigh tumbled from James lips as he moved to sit on the just made hospital bed, pulling her down onto him and gripping her thigh so that she wouldn't fall, he made sure that the both of them where comfortable before speaking, "I just- I am so happy, I'm so incredibly happy that you have a family now, you have Remus, merlin, he's your cousin, and I've met his parents and they're amazing.

So, amazing, and kind and considerate, and they'll take you in without a word, without a complaint because it's you Nora, and it's not hard to realise that they'll love you so much, they're going to take care of you like your parents didn't and that's so bloody amazing.

But I thought you loved travelling, I thought that was a part of you, not because of your parents but because it's an adventure, and a risk, and something new, and when Remus said that you didn't have to travel anymore I just, I don't know, I was angry, in a way, i thought it was something we could do together, from now on.

I didn't want you to be alone, or lonely, I never do, I want to be there for you, and selfishly, I want you all to myself. This summer I wanted to travel everywhere with you, I want to spoil you like you deserve to be, I want to live this summer with you by my side, happily, because even though no one talks about it, the world, the wizarding world is going to shit.

But if I'm with you, if I get to spend time with you just for a summer without worries, or cares, then that's all I need, I can survive with that. I saw a glint in your eye when Remus was talking about you living with his family, with your aunt, I saw happiness in you that is different from the happiness you radiate.

It was unfamiliar, a rare happiness, like you had found a home," he finished with a kiss to her cheek, his hand tangled in her hair as she sat on his lap, listening intently to the words he spoke.

"I found a home the moment my eyes found yours," she sighed, her hand cupping his cheek and a soft kiss pressed to his lips, "I will never stop travelling if you are by my side, I love the thought of having a family, a place to go with warm, welcoming smiles from someone that I can look up to, but that's a place to go back to at the end of the day, when the adventure is over, and I need energy.

I'm so excited for summer, I'm so excited to spend my time with you, James, because yes, Hogwarts is fun, and I love it more than anything, but spending time with you, being with you, having you there with me is something I dream of. Experiencing new places with you by my side is something I can't wait for, to risk getting kicked off trains because we don't have enough money, or almost missing the cargo trains because knowing us we'd be too busy kissing to realise it was leaving without us," she giggled, her eyes finding his, "you have no idea how happy it makes me that I have someone, that I have you to take risks with.

I love the idea of us in summer, I love the idea of us wrapped up in each other sleeping on a freaking cargo train because we decided to go to Scotland one day, and the next we want to go visit Adria in London.
