HARPER
Heaven smelt good.
Like Paco rabbane and lemons.
"When will she wake up?" I heard a deep toned angel murmur from over my head.
"I've cleaned all her wounds and put ice on the gash...At this point I don't know" Another angel replied to the first one.
Weren't Angel's supposed to be happy and gentle? Why did the ones speaking sound so gruff and...angry?
"When do I meet God?" I murmured wondering how I was going to state my case. It was a wonder I had even ended up here given all the things I had done in my lifetime.
"Harper!" I heard a cacophony of voices that grew louder.
"Open your eyes...please"
For some reason the voice hit a nerve. A nerve that made me force my eyes open and practically shrink back.
"Why are you guys so close to me?" I shrieked taking in Andrew, Chandler, Ethan and three other faces I wasn't familiar with, standing atop of me, "Where on earth am I?"
I sat up and instantly regretted it. My skull pounded angrily and I fluttered back into my sleeping position.
"Harper" Andrew whispered pushing through everyone to me. On his knees, he grabbed my hand and held it in his with a look of utter sadness. He quickly dropped my hand and settled for just staring...creepy.
"What's wrong?" I asked gently. I had never seen Andrew like this. What was wrong?
"You don't...You don't remember?" Ethan asked confused.
"Remember what~"
Electric blue eyes.
My eyes widened as everything came back to me. Mount Clifton, Andrew handcuffed and bloody...the gun.
"He didn't kill me" I whispered staring into Andrew's deep brown eyes.
He bit his bottom lip and looked to be in agony.
"He didn't kill me" I said a second time, my eyes finding Chandler's.
"Take it easy, Harvard" Chandler murmured noticing my movement.
"Who are you?" I asked finally acknowledging the incredibly attractive boy that stood above me, next to Chandler. He smiled gently and moved back.
"I'm Seth" He was about 6'2, lean, and had the prettiest green eyes I had ever noticed. They looked like they were glow in the dark jewels and I felt my heart flutter. He wore a pair of PJ bottoms, a worn Henley t-shirt, and was barefoot. His dark brown hair was in disarray, which worked for him, and he had a slightly cocky air to him.
"Andrew's cousin" Ethan mumbled nodding at me.
I stared at both boys and saw many differences and similarities. Andrew was slightly more filled out than Seth was but that didn't take away from the feeling I got that Seth was also incredibly fit. Seth looked like a ladies' man that knew what he was working with where Andrew was just as gorgeous but incredibly oblivious to it. Both boys bit their bottom lips in the same fashion that indicated they had a lot on their minds.
