S.O.T.D: KNEE SOCKS BY THE ARCTIC MONKEYS (ADORE THE TUNE FOR SOME REASON...I FEEL SUPER COOL WHENEVER I LISTEN TO THIS)

Andrew
"Where are you" I whispered quietly.
"I'm in the lobby" the voice whispered back.
I sighed in frustration and looked around the room. The sound of snores filled my ears and I rolled my eyes as Ethan muttered something about Mariah Carey. I, quietly, got out of bed and tiptoed to where my black sneakers lay, casting a glance at Harper lying gently. She looked so peaceful and childlike....If only she was like this all the time. Shoving thoughts of her out of my head, I quietly turned the knob of the hotel room and made a beeline for the elevator almost not hearing the door to my room open and close behind me.
"Andrew, this is a big deal man! I need you to come through"
I, now, sat in a red pickup truck with a feeling of annoyance. Doug, the idiot in the driver's seat, kept doubting me and I was reaching my limit.
"Listen, you hired me to do this for you. I'm going to do it" I rolled my eyes and played with the fray on my sweatshirt.
"Dude, it's not every day that you steal this many laptops and wire them!" Doug muttered with a slight shiver, "I really need this to run smoothly"
"And it will"
"I don't think you understand the task I'm giving you! This could, will, be dangerous. My girl told me this would get crazy but I didn't listen" He whispered looking around the parking lot, "these are some powerful guys-"
"Listen, I don't give half a rats behind what you need the laptops for or who you're trying to track down or who you're dating...unless she's hot and has a sister" I nodded with a smirk, "I'm a man of my word. I promised you I would get these laptops and that's what I'm going to do."
"Alright....just don't get yourself hurt" Doug finally relented and ran a meaty hand through his red hair. Merely looking at him, you could tell he was a Doug.
"Stop being such a ninny, Doug" I rolled my eyes at his behavior and turned to look at him, "you're reading into this too much"
"Am I? You're about to steal a laptop that belongs to a dangerous man and proceed to bug it...Not for me but for another dangerous man who sought your help out. Excuse my concern"
"So what?" I asked straight faced.
"Listen, this is my job. I have to come out here to make sure you don't change your mind and continue on with this plan for the boss but....you're just a kid. You shouldn't throw your life like this" Doug cast a glance at me and I raised an eyebrow at the guy who sat next to me in a green flannel and jeans.
"YOU say that like you're that much older than me" I sighed recalling a time when he had told me he was twenty four.
"I've been in this since the day I turned sixteen and regret every waking moment..."Doug pursed his lips and touched the steering wheel, "This isn't children's work. It changes good people..."
I smiled slightly at Doug's words and nodded slowly.
"Good thing I'm not a good person" I shrugged yanking the door open and hopping out of the car.
"Andrew!"
"Tell the boss I said hi" I gave Doug a tight smile and walked back into the hotel briskly.
"I don't get why you're hiding in the shadows" were the first words out of my mouth as I stood waiting for the elevator.
"How did....you...how..." Harper fumbled with her words before staring up at me, "what were you doing in that car?"
