"Harper!" I yelled again. My heart seized to beat as I saw the attacker grab onto her shirt. Not thinking a thing through, I turned and ran for her but I was too late. The attacker had his gun up and it was poised over her head. If I could've made my feet move any faster, I would've. I saw the attacker bring the gun up and back down onto the back of Harper's head within the blink of an eye.

"NO!" I yelled locking eyes with the attacker. He let Harper drop to the ground and ran back into the building.

"Harper" I whispered as I stood over her. Dropping to my knees, I tried to pick her up but the handcuffs inhibited me.

"Drew!" I heard tires screech beside me but didn't look up. I only saw Harper. Soon, I felt arms grabbing for me and another set picking Harper up as if she weighed nothing. I numbly climbed into the cab of the truck as Ethan carried Harper in. He lay her down and Chandler began driving, peeling out of the parking lot as I heard another gun shot.

"Oh my god" I whispered staring at the girl who had come to my rescue.

"She isn't dead" Ethan grunted checking her pulse, "Just knocked out"

"I can't believe this" Ethan looked up at me and threw a set of key's my way.

"Doug found these" Was all he said.

"Guys, we need to get to a hospital" Chandler yelled from the driver's side, running a red light.

"And how do we explain this?" Doug yelled exasperated.

"I know someone who can help us out" I murmured unlocking the cuffs.

"Seth?" Chandler asked.

"Seth" I nodded.

"We're here" Ethan grunted as Chandler pulled to a park in front of a New York style apartment complex.

"You know his buzzer number?" Doug asked wiping away some fresh blood from his nose.

"Like the back of my hand" I grumbled hoisting Harper onto my shoulder.

"You sure you've got enough strength for that?" Chandler asked quickly trying to take Harper.

"Get off me" I snapped going up the cobblestone path that lead to the lobby of the apartment complex.

I punched the numbers in and waited to hear my cousin's voice.

"Come on up" He said quickly buzzing us in. The ride up to the tenth floor was shorter than I expected what with my two seething best friends, a half broken acquaintance, and an unconscious enemy.

"When you called I was certain you were~" Seth's eyes widened as he opened the door once I knocked, "what happened to you?"

"Can we come in?" I asked instead.

"Before the neighbors see" Seth whispered ushering us into his loft style apartment. It was a large space that looked like it belonged to an artist, decorated in his favorite color; red. He had a single ottoman and couch in the centre of the room in front of his TV, his prized guitar behind that, and a desk with a Mac computer on it. Off to its left was his small kitchen and a little further down were the three bedrooms.

"I didn't know where else to go" I mumbled laying Harper down on the couch.

"What's keeping me from calling Uncle Greg right now?" Seth snapped staring at Harper. Seth's mom, my father, and our Uncle Greg were triplets which, unfortunately, made our family very close. It didn't help that they had a crazy older sister, Aunt Melinda, who was dead set on keeping family traditions alive.

"Please" I whispered quietly. Seth's eyes widened as he heard the word leave my lips and his eyes softened.

"Trish'll be here in ten. You better get ready to explain then" Seth shook his head and walked to his bathroom, coming back with a first aid kit, "Have I ever told you that you're an idiot?"

"Maybe" I shrugged watching him pull out the iodine and some cotton rounds.

"Doug, you look destroyed" Seth grinned looking up at Doug. Seth was only a year and a half older than me, and was already living on his own at eighteen.

"Good to see you too" Doug nodded grabbing an antiseptic wipe from the box and beginning to clean his cuts.

"Get over here Andrew" Seth grunted.

"Dude, I'm a big boy. I can clean myself up" I said eyeing the box that Trish, his girlfriend, probably kept fully stocked.

"Andrew Joseph Gold, get over here. Now" Seth said through gritted teeth.

I looked at Ethan, who was boring holes into my head, and sighed.

"Whatever you say" I moved to my cousin and stood rigidly as he dabbed the iodine on my cuts.

"Say what you're dying to say already" I groaned feeling eyes on me.

"I don't think you need either of us to tell you that you're an absolute idiot" Ethan murmured, "You know that all on your own"

"Dude, what is your deal?" I finally asked as Seth pressed hardly on a cut.

"My deal?" Ethan asked exasperated, "My deal is that you, like always, went ahead and got yourself involved into shady business and put us in danger!"

"I didn't tell you guys to come" I murmured.

"Unlike you Andrew, we actually give a crap about what happens to you. So sorry" Ethan laughed dryly.

"Ethan" Chandler said quietly.

"What? You're standing here trying to tell me that today couldn't have been an awesome day if captain selfish, here, hadn't gone along with captain bad decisions?" Ethan yelled taking me aback, "I don't know if you know this but we've got an unconscious girl on the couch"

With that, Ethan made his way to the door, slamming it on his way out.

"I hope you know that you're captain bad decisions" Doug said into the silence casting a look at me.

"Go home, Doug" Seth mumbled.

"Seth, you really need to keep your door locked, this is unsafe" I heard a high pitched voice from the door and a scream followed.

"Hiya Trish" Seth smiled brightly as his girlfriend witnessed the scene before her. Her dark hair was piled on top of her head in a bun that looked like it took forever to perfect and she wore a pair of light wash jeans with a loose fitted blue shirt. As usual, she looked pristine and proper.

"What on Earth is going on here?" Trish yelled, hands on hips, "Oh my God, is she dead?"

"No! No, she isn't dead" Seth jumped up and held his girlfriend before she ran to the phone, "Just...Unconscious"

"You better explain right now, Fuller" Trish's eyes were angry brown slits and I stared as this girl who barely hit the five foot five barrier could make my cousin, who stood at my height of six two, scared.

"I actually don't know what happened" Seth mumbled looking down at her.

"You're harboring fugitives?" She yelled looking to me and Doug before casting her gaze on Chandler, "And an Englishmen!"

"No, I'm not harboring anyone"

"Then what the~"

"Guys!" I heard Ethan running from down the hallway and my eyes widened as he barreled through the door.

"Hey Trish" He waved quickly and focused his attention on us, "The hotel just called me"

"Saying what?" Chandler asked.

"Someone tried to get into our room"
