"Harper, I can explain" He slowly came closer to me but I put up a hand, stopping him. 

"Then explain...from over there" He let out a sigh and scratched the back of his head. 

"The reason I....I have your letter, it's because....I actually....uhm, I" Andrew was sputtering and making absolutely no sense. 

"The reason he has your letter is because....he's Si" A new voice sounded at the door and my eyes snapped to where Ethan and Chandler stood near the door.

"Wait, what?" 

"We all are, actually" Chandler tried to give me a weak smile but my eyebrows furrowed. 

"How is that even possible?!" I whispered bringing a shaky hand to my lips and slamming the computer closed, "You guys aren't funny!"

"Harper, calm down" Ethan tried gently but the look I gave him was enough to kill. 

"I trusted you guys....even you!" I snarled at Andrew, "So, what? You guys knew I was a reject all along and were silently laughing at me? Making fun of all the things I didn't have? Reveling in the sick satisfaction that I wasn't as perfect as I tried to act?"

"We would never do that" Andrew's soft voice found me and in my angry rant, I hadn't noticed him move closer to me. 

"Get you're hands off of me" I hissed as a warm hand came around my shoulder. I heard shuffling as Ethan and Chandler sat on the edge of the bed. 

"If it's worth anything, Ethan and I got rejected from the places we applied to, as well" Despite this being news to me I shook my head at Chandler.

"It isn't" I snapped staring straight ahead. God, I felt like an idiot. 

"You guys just couldn't let me have one thing? Everyone knows I'm adopted, everyone knows my best friend was shacking it up with my boyfriend...you guys couldn't let me have just one thing to myself?" I whispered.

"Harper, this entire trip would have never happened had it not been for you" Ethan placed a gentle hand on my ankle and I yanked my feet back, "When Andrew found out about your rejection...it took us for a loop"

"Here was one of the smartest girls in our grade, about to find out that she wasn't accepted into her dream school" Chandler gave me a small smile, "You're like the picture of perfection....You know what you want from life"

"And that was something we envied because we were all so lost...but then when we saw you walking that day, it was like you were lost with us and it was our job to help you find your way" Andrew's deep voice ruffled tiny wisps of my hair and I fought back a shiver. 

"We knew about your rejection but if you think we sat on it to hurt you, you're crazy....we didn't want this to happen" Ethan concluded. 

"So, what, you hacked into Harvard's mailing list?" I mocked them and rolled my eyes. There was no way on Earth that the three of them were Si. Sure, Andrew was smart but how hadn't they been caught yet? And Chandler easily had the biggest mouth in school, how hadn't he told everyone in hopes of getting a couple of numbers from the senior girls soccer team?

"Well, yeah...we hack into alot of places" Andrew muttered giving me a sidelong glance, "Just like we did when we changed your math mark to an A last year"
