S.O.T.D DREAMING BY SMALLPOOLS && LATCH BY DISCLOSURE FT SAM SMITH (I DIDN'T LIKE IT AT FIRST BUT IT GREW ON ME...KIND OF LIKE ANDREW FOR HARPER)

Have you ever had that moment in life where pitying yourself just stopped being a thing? Where, even you, didn't feel sorry for the way the universe had decided to give you a taste of your own medicine and soon realized that it was time to just keep moving forward with life?

If so, then high five me sister! I'm in the same boat as you.

I kept my eyes forward as Andrew walked out and into the throng of joy in the living room. Was this really happening to me? Did I just really get dumped by my sort-of, not really, friend?

"Harper..." I heard a slight voice and rolled my eyes as Cindy gave me a pitying look. That look was what did it.

"I'm going to the planetarium"

"Wait, what?" Cindy sat, confused, as I let a small smile creep onto my face.

"You heard me. I'm going to a planetarium; the day's still young and there's still a life to live and I'm going to be the one to live it...." This speech was more so for my benefit but with the way Cindy was nodding eagerly, I kept that to myself, "He won't make me feel this way"

"I've never liked you more" Cindy grinned as I jumped off my bed and began looking through my clothes for something nice to wear.

I was sick of letting other people have such great effects on my life. First, Jerry and Tre, then my own parents, and even Andrew. It was time to have an effect on myself...if that made sense.

"Yowza!" Cindy shimmied as I stepped into a pair of high waist black shorts with rhinestone's across the butt pocket, that were probably going to be horrible to sit in, a cropped tank top, and my beloved flannel shirt.

Throwing my hair into a messy bun and slipping my converse on, I threw a bit of tinted moisturizer, mascara, and a light lip gloss on and opened my door.

Silence instantly descended as I walked into the kitchen, "Don't stop talking because of me"

"What are you all dressed for?" Chandler inquired as I grabbed an apple and pretended to be interested in eating it.

"I noticed a planetarium on our way to see Lesley and figured what better way to spend today than there?" I put the apple down and smiled, "Sounded better than doing nothing"

"I'm up for the planetarium" Kyle smiled as an awkward air lay on the group when Andrew grunted.

"Oh" I opened my mouth to tell her it was a singular mission but decided against it when I noticed the hopeful glint in her eyes. Why ruin a friendship I hadn't had a chance to experience because another one had gone to dirt?

"I'm up for a tag along" I nodded as she stood up and straightened her shirt.

"Do...do you think I could join in on the fun?" Lea piped in, quietly.

"Lea, I don't thin~"

"Of course you can!" I quickly cut Aidan off and gave Lea a thumbs up, "C'mon, we can get a bus schedule on the way"

I giddily skipped back to my room to grab my phone, my wallet, and some gum before coming back outside....to everyone standing at the front door.

"Did I miss something?"

"We figured this would be more fun as a group experience" Seth shrugged not noticing the look I shot Andrew.

"Sounds slightly less boring than watching Chandler eat an entire box of pizza, alone" Andrew spoke not looking at me. At least he was trying to be cordial, despite the awkwardness it brought forth.
