Mir (Sam's) POV

Sitting in my car waiting for Jonathan I look up and see this tall broad man walking in my direction with a stern face. But when he got close enough he gave me a small side smile. When I saw that facial expression I decided to get out of my car to interact with the man I'm assuming to be Jonathan's father.

Mr Brooks: hello young man I'm Shawn Brooks, Jonathan's father.

Hello sir, my name is Samir but everyone calls me Mir. It's nice to meet you I said reaching to shake his hand. He looked at me from my feet to my head and I swear I wanted to retreat back to my car.

Mr Brooks: well Samir my son was trying to sneak out of the house while we're having dinner to hang out with you I'm assuming. And why is that?

Oh sir I had no idea he was sneaking out missing dinner. I...

He cut me off and got straight to the point drilling me with questions.

Mr Brooks: how do you know my son? And why have I never met you before I've met all of Jonathan's friends. In fact they're all in the house now.

Well Mr. Brooks... Jonathan and I just became friends recently and again if I would have known he had to sneak out I would have linked up with him another time sir.

He looked at me while I responded to his question and I could tell he had more to say to me. With his eyebrows furrowed and arms crossed he parted his lips to ask me something right before Jonathan came walking out of the house breaking his train of thought.

Jonathan: Dad seriously I'll be back later. Mom wasn't cooking until Justin asked her too.

Mr Brooks: Exactly YOUR friend.

Looking from Jonathan to me Mr. Brooks invited me to eat dinner. More so telling me I was staying for dinner guiding us both into the house. Jonathan was not here for it. When we got into the house Jonathan quickly went up the main stairs and Alyssa quickly followed. Meanwhile his father directed me to walk into the houses library.

We sat down and he looked at me quietly while we sat there.

"Do you drink Samir," he asked me while pouring himself a drink. Occasionally sir but not frequently.

Mr. Brooks: alright well I won't offer you any of this here scotch. But umm what are your intentions with my son?

I'm sorry sir what do you mean? I asked knowing exactly what he meant.

Mr Brooks: Please don't play coy with me, I know you have interest in my son. I'm not an idiot. I know he dates men. His boyfriend or ex is out there as we speak.

I looked at him with my eyes open like a deer in headlights, not knowing what to say.

What you thought I didn't know? He asked standing up walking behind me causing me to stand up too.

Shocked to say the least I decided to answer his question. Well if I'm being honest Mr. Brooks, I like your son a lot and I enjoy his company and I think he could be it for me. He's special and when you find something like that you have to go after it and treasure it forever.

After I finished saying what I had to say, he Jonathan's father simply looked at me and nodded he head.

Shawn Brooks POV

I would be lying if I said I wasn't uncomfortable with my son dating men. But it's something I'm slowly but surely learning to accept. He's a grown man now and it's time for me to accept and respect his decisions.

It's strange and I've never imagined interrogating someone my son has or is dating but it's definitely necessary. Especially considering there is one guy who's all under his nose trying to get back in his good grace and another causing him to sneak out.

Listening to all Samir had to say I decided he was good for now. And to be honest I feel bad for making him eat with us, I'll admit it was a tad messy. However, at least now I can see how he acts under pressure. And this actually helps Jonathan too in many ways; Maybe he will talk to his mom and I about his sexuality or finally burn bridges with Roberts dumb ass.

Look Samir I know this is awkward but stay for dinner, you don't have to but it would earn my respect.

Looking at him I could tell he was thinking, about what I don't know.

Mir (Sam): I'm already here I guess and I've already experience the possible worse, no offense by that either.

I understand what you mean, but great dinner is almost ready. Come meet my wife.

So Jonathan's parents already new about is sexuality.. Thoughts?
