This is the final chapter, and I know this was a long first book. However, I wanted some character development so those who have rode this out with me to get a better understanding of the characters. I will be starting the second book right away and I hope you enjoyed all that 'Love On His Sleeves: A new beginning' had to offer.
Jonathan's POV
Welcome to Dubai, Prince Fazza said to us from the front seat of his decked out Mercedes G-Wagon. Imani sat in the passenger seat smiling back at us. And I just shook my head and smiled. Samir has his arm around my shoulder and squeezed me to tell me to relax and I laid my head back on him.
So where are we going, Antwan asked and the prince smiled and looked back at us. Off-road driving on the Al Madam Desert!
Tee and Samir smacked each other hands and Tee yelled hell yeah, bro you'll let me drive? And we all said he'll no! And the prince laughed.
"I don't think that would be a good idea," he said smiling and grabbing Imani's face. "I have to make sure this beauty makes it out on the other side." She blushed and I interjected. AND ME TOO! The prince looked back and winked, of course.
We got to the dessert and it's was extraordinary. There were wild camels walking aimlessly. And all of a sudden we drove off road and I tensed up and said, "oh hell naw."
Baby, calm down we will be fine. Samir said kissing my forehead. I got you.
Samir how you got me, you back here with me, he's the one driving. Most people would say I'm being dramatic. But I'm really fucking scared. These hills are big as fuck and it looks like we're the only one here.
Beside we're the only people here it looks like. What if we flip over and get trapped in sand? I asked waiting for a response.
Fazza turned around and grabbed my hand. Don't worry Jonathan, he said looking into my eyes. I won't let anything happen to you, or anyone for that matter. Besides I'm a prince and with being a royal there are perks and some cons. One of which, I'm never truly alone so if something were to happen... Rest assure that we will be saved.
I rolled my arm and he squeezed my hand. Not in a aggressive way, but in a gentle way. He looked at me and smile and I gave him a smirk and sat back. And whispered to Samir that I wasn't sure about this but if he wanted to do this I would.
Baby, if you don't want to do this we don't have to, we can go back while they go all out. He said looking at me and I shook my head and said, Let's go! Fazza revved up the truck and Imani looked back and gave me a look and we were off into the dessert.
It was a bumpy start but once we got momentum the ride wasn't bad actually. It felt like a kid roller coaster at an amusement park with the random and surprising drops. For the most part we were all laughing and firing off curse words as we went up and down hill and sand fell on the car. In hindsight I was glad we did it because it ended up being fun, and a memory I'm glad I got to share with everyone.
Once we rode back on normal terrain we ended up at this amazing villa. When we got in at was decked out with food, and entertainers. Everyone ran into the villa and I fell behind to take in the experience. The prince notice and walked back to me.
"That wasn't all that bad, now was it?" He asked smiling. Yeah it was actually fun. Thanks for showing us around and giving us the Royal tour, I said smiling walking toward the villa. Yeah no problem, you all looked like really cool and genuine people. And you don't come by that to often here, he said putting his hands in his pocket. I nodded and chuckled.
What's so funny? He asked with a raised eyebrow. It's just you I don't understand how you came to that conclusion after seeing us for literally no more than 15 minutes. And you had your "Captain" send you over to meet us. So you never really got a true impression of us, it was on his word. I'm sure that's a strategy you both pull with many other tourist too. I said looking at him, and waiting for a reaction from what I said.
