Mr. Brook's POV

Today is the day, the day where my knuckle head son graduates from that expensive ass high school. Looking at the mirror I smile as I watch my wife's reflection as she moves around the room looking for her missing earring. "Baby have you seen my ring she asked, as I shook my head no. she sighed and kept looking around. I walk over to her and rub her shoulders. Looking in her eyes, she smiles and I lift her head and place a kiss on her lips. Just relax baby, the boy is just graduating high school, I think you will be just fine wearing one of your other set of earrings. She smacked her lips and walked passed me. "I want to wear these earring, Shawn! now leave me alone and finish getting dressed your self." she said looking through draws in the closet. And when you're done can you call the venue to make sure everything is set up for the party afterwards. I do not want to show up there to find something wrong. This day needs to be perfect. Yeah I'll call Olivia, just calm down baby, please for me? I asked pulling her in to a hug. I'm going to miss him too. She looked in my eyes and then buried her face in my shirt.

Dad, I need a favor... Janelle asked walking into the closet and sitting down crossing her legs. Olivia rolled her eyes at her daughter and I leaned against the island in the middle of the room, waiting for whatever it was she was about to ask.

"So I've been thinking, since Jonathan is graduating today and we are probably going to be at the venue all night after the party I was wondering if I could invite some of my friends to come." I looked at her and then to my wife and she shrugged. Janelle, didn't you already invite two of your friends? I asked looking at her and she stood up and crossed her arms. Yes.. I did but I.

You can stop right there... who did you have in mind? I asked, but what I really wanted to know was how many more people she wanted to invite. And she knew what I meant to because she started to knot up her lips. "Five..." she said with a closed lip smile.

NO! I said sternly. "But whyyyyy? Dad no offence but I'm going to be bored all night.." Because Janelle this is not your party, nor is it your day. Today is about celebrating you brother, because HE graduated. I said responding to her dramatic why.

But.. "No buts Janelle," my wife said interjecting. Now can you please go and finish getting dressed, because we need to head out soon. She said while she finally found her missing earring. AND WHERE IS JONATHAN?! She screamed out. I just shook my head and walked downstairs to get away from both of them. When I was approaching the living room I hear people outside so I went to the front door and saw Samir had pulled up. Him and Jonathan got out the car and started hugging and kissed one another. I watched as they talked for a moment and Jonathan started heading towards the front door and Samir pulled off.

When he saw me as he walked over he smiled, and patted me on the shoulder. "What's up dad?" he asked walking passed me into the house. What's up? I asked confused. Your mother is about to drive me crazy throughout this entire day, and then you show up out of the wood works. Where have you been I asked looking at him grin like his mother.

Well first of all, Samir wanted to go out to eat for breakfast and it was also a chance for us to get some alone time because I wont have any of that for the rest of the day. And as for your wife.... you signed up for that buddy, he said patting my back and laughing. I threw a pillow from the couch at him and he ran away before it hit him. SUCKER! I yelled laughing.

Janelle's POV

I honestly don't know what the big deal is about me inviting my friends, it's not like they would have been in they way. There is most likely more than enough space for us all to be there. But at least Bianca and Steven will be there. I swear ever since Jonathan became a senior, my parents have been strict as fuck. They usually would tell me yes to pretty much anything I asked. But as of lately its been a hard time getting do to anything. When I was walking downstairs, my mom was fixing my dads tie and he was trying to swat her hand out of the way but she gave him the infamous look, that he says we all give him, and he let her finish what she was doing. I smiled and walked into the kitchen, when Steven called me on Facetime. I picked up and smiled, hey whats up? I asked waiting for him to respond but he was just smiling and every time he smiled with his teeth it did something to me. Last week we went out without Bianca, and out of no where we kissed. From that moment on we just kept going with that same energy, even though we haven't really discussed what it was that we're doing.
