Chapter 1

Buzzing around I searched for all the ingredients, I would need for the marble cake, that the kids have asked for. I tried to allocate all the responsibilities to the flustered kids, that were jumping around in my kitchen.

Even though it is a huge stress every year, I love to celebrate easter with my family. They make me happy and give me the feeling that I am loved. I will put much effort in this party to make it the best ever.

"Charly? Come here and stir the vegetables in the frying pan. Waiiittt, Sarah dont eat the eggs when they are raw, they may harm you."

All of a sudden I heard a loud crash behind me.

"Eddy! Please don't move or you will cut yourself with the shardes."

Sighing I shook my head and lifted the little boy, that he won't get hurt by the shardes of glass around him. In his eyes I could see the sheer embarrassment.

"I'm sorry granny..."

Oh Eddy, I'm not mad at you. That vase is worth nothing compared to you. Full with love I smiled at him and caressed his head.

"It is okay my dear, just go into the cellar and bring some pickled onions, ok? We will clean that up."

He nodded hectically and started his way to the cellar.
Rapt in thought I gazed after the small boy.
He was a busy child, indeed, but he also had a huge heart and a great sense of humour. If you knew Eddy, you must love him.

Then I turned around and started to clean the floor, Charly helped me. She had very skilful hands and the floor was clean again after minutes.

"Granny, I brought your onions!"

Amused I laughed at the boy, as I saw the pickled cucumbers in his right hand.

"Thanks Eddy. I guess the onions aren't mellow yet."

Charly and Sarah started to chuckle behind me, but Eddy just nodded his head absently and put the glass with the cucumbers on the table.
As he was walking away he started to canvas the yellowed piece of paper in his left hand.

"Eddy, what is this?"

Eddy turned around and presented the piece of paper proudly.

"I found it in your jacket, granny."

Confused I took a look at it and skimmed the text written on it. As I noticed what I was reading, a tear ran down my face.

This can't be.

"Grandma! Why are you crying?"

Shattered the kids ran to me to wipe off my tears. Eddy gave me a big hug and got desperate as he saw how emotional I was.

"What happened?"

Smiling under my tears I whispered:

"Come here, my dear children, I have to tell you something."

Yaaaaasss a new story :3
Idk what happened to me I was very inspired today so why not starting a new story? Dont worry I will keep on going with beloved nanny too ! :)
