Chapter 14

*outfit for date^^*

APRIL 20TH, 2017 

Today is an off day after a crazy walk off win last night by Addison and Wrigley was popping last night. The guys went out for drinks and Anthony brought Kris home and Kris was plastered. I honestly never seen Kris that drunk before and it kind of made me mad. 

"Why aren't you talking to me?" Kris asked as he followed me around the apartment as we got ready to leave for Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Boston. I sighed and turned to face him. "I didn't know you were going out to get hammered last night. I thought you were going out for a little bit." 

I shouldn't be getting mad over things like this, but this is how me and Matthew started fighting and I don't want that to happen with Kris too. "Why are you getting so uptight about this? Can't I go out and have fun with the guys?" 

I sighed and rubbed my temples before I went off on him. "I'm so uptight about this is because this is how me and Matthew ended up. He went out drinking all the time and he came home drunk and just passing out all the time. I don't want that to happen to us." I said. Thinking about the memories made my heart hurt and I couldn't bear to not cry at them. 

"Baby, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry." He said wrapping me in his arms. "It's not you, it's talking about the things that I went through with him make me cry and having him be back here with the Cubs, it's just hard for me to get over him while he keeps making appearances in my life." I said wiping my tears. 

"I know babe, I'm sorry that I reminded you of that, I never want to do that again." He said and I could tell he was genuinely upset about the whole thing. "It's okay Kris, it was only one time, just don't do it again, unless I'm right by your side doing it with you." I said and he laughed. 

"I promise, just stop thinking about him and all the memories, you're with me now. Think about all the memories we've had together." He said and I smiled. "We've had too many of them to think about all the time. I'd have to cut it down." I said detaching myself from his arms and going around making sure we had everything. 

"Babe, pack some date clothes, when we get there we're going on a date!" Kris yelled up the stairs to me. "Okay!" I yelled back to him quickly packing more clothes. "Alright, are we all set to go?" I asked as I came into the living room. 

"Yes we are." He said kissing me and taking my bags from me and bringing them down to his car and putting them into the trunk. We had to head to Wrigley to get on the bus to head to the airport. 

"There's the power couple!" Anthony said as we got out of Kris' car and I just laughed. "Ant only if you knew what a power couple really was." I said giving Emily a hug. "I mean he is right, you two are the 'it' couple of the team." She said and I was confused. 

"Is that what you people have been calling us?" I asked the guys and it was a unanimous yes all around. "Aw well that's sweet, but we're far from perfect." I said as we got onto the bus and I sat next to Emily. 

"Well if it wasn't the better part of 'Bryzzo'." Julianna, Ben Zobrist's wife said as she down behind us. "I've never thought of that, but it is true, we are the better half of Bryzzo." I said and Emily agreed. "Definitely the better looking half!" She said and I laughed. 

I took a selfie of the both of us and I put it on Instagram so the guys would see that we're the better half of Bryzzo. 

"SkylarNicole: Don't you guys agree we're the better looking half of Bryzzo? kris_bryant17 arizz_44 agree or disagree boys?"

"NOPE DEFINITELY NOT THE BETTER LOOKING HALF!" I heard Anthony yell from the back of the bus. "SO YOU'RE SAYING I'M NOT BEAUTIFUL?" Emily yelled back and the rest of the guys 'ooooohed'. I just laughed. "KRIS BACK ME UP!" Anthony yelled and Emily and I stood up so we could see them. 

"You're on your own because I think they are the better looking half of Bryzzo." Kris said smiling at me. "That's my good guy. Anthony is in the dog house tonight." I said sitting back down as did Emily. "Oh yeah he is." She said with a laugh. 

We finally made it to the airport and we got right on the plane and I chose to sit next to Emily again. "Babe, why aren't you sitting next to me?" Anthony whined from behind us where he sat next to Kris and Emily just laughed at him. 

"Maybe next time you should be like Kris and say we're the better looking half and call me beautiful." She said and I couldn't help but laugh at this argument. "I'm sorry, I couldn't help but laugh." I said to her. 

"No, I get it, it's pretty funny. Did you hear we're going on a double date tonight?" She asked. "I knew I was going on a date, I didn't know you two would be joining us."I said with a laugh. Finally we were in the air and then soon enough, we landed and we were on the bus. 

We got to the hotel and Emily and I were sharing a room. We got ready for the date and soon enough there were knocks on our door. "May we help you?" I asked Anthony who was standing there with Kris behind him and Anthony had a dozen roses. "Where are mine baby?" I asked kissing him after letting Anthony into the room. 

"You aren't mad at me, thought I could get you some if you wanted?" He said wrapping an arm around my waist. 

"Nah I don't need flowers, I got you and that's all I need."
