"Ryliegh, Mason, Hannah, Jeremy, Nicole! Let's get going! We can't miss your dad's last game!" I yelled up the stairs to my now 16, 14, 13, 11, and 9 year old children. Yes, Kris and I got busy after we had our first kid. If it wasn't for the complications I had with Nicole, Kris and I would've had more kids.

"I'm ready momma." Nicole said being the first one downstairs, she was always the one that was on time and right by my side, she was definitely a spitting image of me. "You look so good baby! Are you ready to see all your uncles today?" I asked her as I fixed her hair that was kind of messy.

"Yep! Even though I'm wearing daddy's jersey, I have uncle Anthony's number on my t-shirt!" Anthony was her godfather and she loved him and Emily to death. Every time Kris and I would go away she would always want to go over there so they could watch her.

"Kids! Let's go! We're leaving now!" I yelled up the stairs to the rest of the kids and they all came down one by one. "Ry, how's Jack?" I asked as we were driving to the stadium. Jack was Ryliegh's boyfriend and Javy's son. "He's good. I'm excited to see him today." She said with a smile on her face.

Kris wasn't fond of the idea when she told him that she was dating him, but he eventually warmed up to it and accepts them now, he just won't leave them alone together. We parked in the family lot and went into the family room and talked with all the other wives and kids.

"So how does it feel?" Emily asked as she came and sat down next to us. "Surreal that it's finally over. This is what Kris and I had always wanted for the both of us, but now it's coming to an end and it doesn't seem real." I said looking at the kids who were running around the room playing with each other.

"I know, I can't believe Anthony is still playing. But I'm ready for it to be over too." She said with a sigh. They had four kids of their own; Bailey, Michael, Henry, and Kallie. "Hey, I think Anthony has another year left in him." I said and she laughed.

"If he had it his way, he'd be playing until the forced him to retire." She said and I laughed and then it was time for us to go out on the field for the ceremonies. I went over to Kris and gave him a hug and a kiss.

The president started talking and all the kids were getting anxious to get into the stands with the rest of the kids. It was finally time for Kris to talk and I knew I would get teary eyed before he even opened his mouth.

"I want to thank the Cubs for believing in me during my time with them, my whole career was spent here, that doesn't happen but I'm thankful that it happened for me and that I could keep my family in one spot for the duration of my career. I want to thank my beautiful wife, Skylar, for always believing in me, even when we were in high school this is all we could talk about. Making it to the big leagues and winning a world series and to this day, playing my last regular season game here at Wrigley. I love you Sky, and I love this life that we've lived. Thank you to all the fans for supporting me through my tenure here with the Cubs. I'm forever grateful for you guys. Thank you so much." He said and everyone cheered and he came over and gave me a hug.

"I love you Sky. Love always wins." He said and I smiled and kissed him. "I love you too Kris and yes, love always wins."
