Chapter 28

AUGUST 31ST, 2018 

I've been on bed rest for a whole week now and I'm getting bored, I've watched every show on Netflix that you can think off, but it's all for Ryleigh and her safe arrival. Kris left for his road trip to Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Washington D.C. yesterday and I'm just praying that she doesn't come while he's away. 

I know she's going to be early because she's fully developed and it's all on her terms now, whenever she wants to come, she's more than welcome to. "So when do you think she's going to come?" My mom asked as she walked into our bedroom where I was watching Netflix, again. 

"I don't know, but I hope it's soon because I'm going stir crazy in this house and I need to get out of it." I said and she laughed. "Do you want me to go and get you food? Emily is coming over today right?" She asked. "Food would be amazing and yes, she is. Anthony and Kris have requested she stay with us too because lord knows I can't only have one person in this house while Kris is gone." I said. 

"He's become protective hasn't he?" She asked. "Beyond. I mean, he means well by it, but it's getting a little crazy. I can only imagine what he's going to be like when Ryleigh gets here. He's not going to let her date until she's 50." I said and she laughed and then Emily walked into the room. 

"Hey girl, how are you feeling?" Emily asked walking over to my mom and giving her a hug and then walking to me and giving me one as well. "As I was just telling my mom, bored out of my mind. Sitting in bed for a week straight and only getting up to go to the bathroom and shower sucks." I said. 

"Well I'm here to cure your boredom. I brought my manicure and pedicure stuff and we're going to have some girl time." She said and I smiled. "Mom is going to get food, do you want anything?" I asked her. "I ate before I came here, so I'm good, but thank you." She said. 

"So sweetie what do you want me to get for you?" Mom asked. "Moe's, you know what I want." I said and she smiled and kissed my forehead. "So I have some stuff to tell you." Emily said as she started painting my toes. 

"Oh drama? Please do tell. I've missed all the WAGS." I said and she laughed. "Actually, it doesn't have anything to do with them." She said. "So then what is it?" I asked. "Well I haven't even told Anthony this yet since I found out yesterday, but I'm pregnant." She said. 

"No freaking way! You need to call him and tell him!" I said. "I want to go to the doctors first to make sure that I actually am, because I don't trust the tests." She said. "That's true, but I can't believe it! Ryleigh is going to have either a best friend or a boyfriend! Kris will have a hay day if it's a boy because they will date." I said and she laughed. 

"That's the truth. I can't believe how protective he's being over you right now. It's kind of crazy to have me stay here when your mom is here too." She said. "Tell me about it. But if my mom's not here and my water breaks I don't have anyone to take me to the hospital, so I get where he's coming from." I said. 

"If Anthony is half as protective as Kris, I know I'll be safe." She said and I smiled and I started getting cramps, like I have been all week. "Are you okay?" Emily asked as she noticed the pained expression on my face. 

"Yeah, just some cramps. I think they're braxton hicks contractions. Nothing to worry about." I said and then the next thing I know, it feels like I'm peeing myself. "Uh, did you just pee yourself?" She asked as she noticed the wet sheets. 

"No I didn't, but my water did just break. Call my mom tell her that I don't need Moe's and tell her to meet us at the hospital." I said as I got off of the bed and went into our closet to change my underwear and my pants. 

"Do you want me to call Kris?" She asked as she was grabbing the hospital bag. "You can't, they're playing right now. Call this number." I said handing her a sheet of paper and then we went out to the car and she started driving to the hospital. 

"Emily, why are you calling?" The athletic trainer asked as he answered the phone. "Alex, it's Skylar. Get Joe to get Kris and put him on the first flight out of there, Ryleigh is on her way into this world and Kris isn't going to want to miss this." I said and he screamed with joy and then hung up the phone. 

"Someone's excited." Emily said and I laughed. "They all love me, but I can't wait until all this pain is going to be over." I said as another contraction hit me. As we were getting settled into my room, my phone rang and it was Kris. 

"Baby are you okay? I'm about to get on the plane and I'll be there within 4 hours." He said in a panic. "I'm totally fine, just a little uncomfortable right now because of the contractions. Just get here soon and please, be safe. Ryleigh needs her dad." I said. 

"I love you and don't have that baby without me." He said. "I love you too and I'll try not to." I said with a laugh and then hung up. I can't wait to finally meet my baby girl, I just hope she doesn't come too fast.... I need Kris here.
