What does moonlight sound like?
Is it the wind after a long hike?
She wondered looking from the river of her soul,
Knowing the moon was a place she didn't know.
Does moonlight sound like love?
Like couples watching the stars,
Looking to open the doors,
Of a world they want to explore.
Does moonlight sound like the sea?
Or the treasures it keeps?
Like the tales of pirates and their ships,
Or of creatures hiding for years.
Does moonlight sound like dreams?
Those we try to reach, when we can't see.
Or does moonlight sound like tears?
The ones that stain your face, when you try to break free.
Does moonlight sound like laughter?
The one that echoes through people's hearts,
The one that brings up smiles,
When they seem to be empty and scarce.
Or is moonlight just a whisper
That no one seems to hear,
Because only those with hope in their soul,
Can perceive?
No, moonlight has a different sound,
She whispered looking at the skies.
Moonlight sounds like the voice inside,
that tells you to keep fighting every night.
