They say best friends stay.
They say they never walk away.
They say they hold you through the storm
and never let your world decay.
But no one tells you
how easily those words can change
when the same hands that once held you close
learn how to let you break.
I thought we were unshakable—
like sky and stars refusing to fall apart,
something fixed beyond time itself,
something safe inside the heart.
But I was wrong.
Some bonds don't end loudly.
They just slowly stop catching you
when you fall.
Nevertheless the truth is that if I could,
I will go back in time,
and turn things back the way they were
before I ever crossed your eyes.
