Alyssa's POV

I woke up this morning to the sound of my phone buzzing. I picked it up and noticed I got a text from Kat.

Kat: Hey! Meet me at SB in an hour!

Usually when Kat texts me at nine o'clock in the morning to meet her at Starbucks, it means she has something important to say.

Kat is my best friend and has been for as long as I can remember. We are both sixteen, live in Bradenton, Florida, and go to Braden River High School.

Seeing that it was already 9:10, I got out of bed and took a quick shower. I got out and threw on a pair of navy blue skinny jeans, a white blouse and my tan Uggs. I decided to quickly curl my hair. When I was done, I went downstairs, said bye to my mom, grabbed my bag and was out the door.

When I got to Starbucks, I didn't see Kat so I just decided to get my coffee. I wasn't really in the mood for anything so I just got a plain iced coffee.

"That will be $1.95," said the guy who worked there. It took me a minute to give him the money because I couldn't stop staring at him. He was really hot. Seeing that he didn't have a name tag, I decided to ask him what his name was.

Right before I was going to ask him, someone came up behind me and screamed into my ear, "Heeeeeyyy!"
She made me jump a mile. It was only Kat, thank God.

"Hey Kat!" I said to her.

"Hey Alyssa! Let's go get a table, I really need to tell you something!"

"Ok just wait one sec-" I turned around to ask the guy what his mane was, but he wasn't there. "Oh, um, nevermind, let's go get a table."

"So what is so important that you need to tell me???" I asked Kat.

"Ok so yesterday at school, I met this really cute guy named......"

Kat kept talking, but I wasn't really listening. I kept wondering what that guys name was and why he looked so familiar. About ten minutes later, someone said my name.

"Alyssa, are you even listening?" said Kat.

"Ya I'm listening. So what were you saying?"

"Uh I just asked you if you think I should ask him out or if I should wait for him to ask me out?" she said.

I had no idea who she was talking about but I just told her what I thought. "You should defiantly wait for him to ask you out. if he likes you enough he will, I promise."

"Thanks Ally, your the best!" Then she came over, gave me a hug, and left.

I checked my phone and noticed that it was already 11:30. Since it was Saturday, I usually go shopping with Kat but she just left. So I decided to go home and just forget about the whole thing that happened today with that guy.

When I got home, I went upstairs to my room and decided to work on my music. I have been singing for as long as I can remember, and know how to play the guitar and piano. I have both instruments in my room so I began to play Someone Like You on the piano.

I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited but I

I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it

I had hoped you'd see my face

and that you be reminded that for me

It isn't over.....

I sang the rest of the song, and then realized how tired I was. I decided to take a nap.

When I woke up, it was already 7:30! There goes my Saturday...anyways, I went downstairs and found that my mom was making dinner.

"Hey mom! what's for dinner?" I asked

"I'm making you tomato basil pasta, and I'm going out with my co-workers." She said.

It seems like she is always going out, but I understand because its for work. "Ok, bye mom!" and then she left. I ate my dinner and decided to watch a movie. Then I took a shower and went to sleep.
