I was so nervous, that I couldn't stop myself from shaking. Was I going to make it?
"But luckily this time he did," said Jennifer as she smiled. "You are in the top 15 girls!"
I jumped up from my chair and hugged all three of them. I was so excited to be moving on, and excited that I could stay with Sam.
"Thank you all so much! This means a lot to me!" I said as I began to walk away. I got in the elevator and cried of relief.
I got out and my mom and grandparents were there.
"I made it, guys," I said as I cried. They all hugged me and then Sam came over.
"I told you you would make it," he said as he hugged me.
"Same to you," I said back.
We then headed back to the hotel. There were barely any people left, compared to this morning.
There were at least 80 people this morning, and now there were 30. And I was one of them.
"So my roommate, Alex, said that we should have a movie night to celebrate the top 30. Do you want to come?" asked Sam as we got back to the hotel.
"Ya sure, sounds great. But I'm gonna head to my room first. I'm going to call Kat, then I'll invite Malaya, Kristen, and Emily." I said. I couldn't wait to tell Kat that I made it into the top thirty.
"Okay, so I'll see you in about an half hour?" he asked as we got to the lobby.
"Ya, bye," I said, then went to my room. When I opened the door, I went straight to my room to call Kat.
"Hey Alyssa, what's up?" she asked.
"Nothing. . .except I made it into the top thirty!" I said with excitement. I heard Kat scream over the phone.
"Omg! My best friend is gonna be famous! Congrats!" she said. Then I told her everything that has happened since I last talked to her, including the part where I passed out and how Sam said he would always be there for me.
"He said that? And he promised?" asked Kat, surprised.
"Ya, what's wrong with that?" I asked, confused.
"Nothing, it's just that is a hard promise to keep. I mean, he's a great guy and everything, it's just that he might not always be there, you know?" she said.
"Well yeah, I can handle a day or two-"
"That's not what I mean. What if one of you gets voted off? Then what are you gonna do? You can't both win, there's only one American Idol," she said. I hadn't even thought about it that way.
"Kat, I gotta go. Bye," then I hung up. I changed into a more comfortable outfit, then went into the TV room to invite everyone to the movie.
"Hey, Alex and Sam are inviting everyone to go watch a movie at their room, want to come?" They all said yes and we headed to their place.
"Hey guys! We are here!" I shouted as I knocked on the door. I didn't know the person who opened the door, but I assumed it was Alex.
"Hey guy, I'm Alex, come on in," he said. We went in and saw that all of the contestants were there already. I sat on the couch right next to Sam.
We decided we would watch Frozen because not all of us had seen that movie.
Ya, it's childish, but who cares?
After about thirty minutes of the movie, I began to get really tired.
"I'm. . .so tired," I said as I yawned. Sam's arms were around me, which only made me more tired.
"Then go to sleep," he said, laughing. I decided to listen to him, so I ended up falling asleep in his arms.
