Alyssa's POV
As we drove to the place we were going to audition, I was too nervous to talk.
"Alyssa, are you okay?" Sam asks me.
"Um, ya I'm fine," I lie. But I think Sam noticed that I was lying because he pulled into a gas station and stopped the car. He took his hands off the wheel and took mine.
"Alyssa, please don't be nervous. You are one of the best singers I know. The judges will definitely put you through," he said, then leaned over and kissed me.
"Thanks," I said. He was the sweetest boyfriend ever. He made me feel a lot better, but I was still nervous. But c'mon, who wouldn't be?
Then we continued our way to the audition.

When we got there, Sam and I walked up to the desk to get our numbers.
We sat down in the chairs that were set up.
"So what song are you singing?" I asked him. He looked about as nervous as me.
"Uh Lego House by Ed Sheeran, what about you?" he asked. He then took out his guitar.
"Put your records on by Corrine Bailey Rae," I said.
"Well good luc-" Sam began, but he stopped talking and his eyes went wide as he stared behind me.
"What?" I said as I began to turn around, but he stopped me.
"Oh, um nothing it's just that there are a lot of people here," he said. But I could tell he was lying; his face gets red when he lies.
"Oh okay," I said.
" Will numbers 52436 and 52437 follow me please. We both got up and followed the lady.
Sam went first while I waited. We had to go in a "chamber" and wait for the green light to come on.
About 5 minutes later, Sam came out and held up the gold ticket. He made it.
"You made it! Congrats!" I screamed as I hugged him.
"I can't believe I made it in!" he said as he hugged me back. Then I had to go in the chamber.
"Good luck!" he said. I said a quick 'thank you' and went in.
I looked in the mirror in the chamber and straightened my shirt and fixed my hair. Then the green light came on.
"Hello sweetie, what's your name and where are you from?" asked Jennifer.
"My name is Alyssa Myers and I'm from Bradenton, Florida." I said nervously.
"And what will you be singing today?" asked Keith.
"Put Your Records On by Corrine Bailey Rae."
"Whenever you're ready." said Harry.
I sang my song about halfway through, then Harry put his hand up to stop me.
"Your voice is absolutely beautiful. I loved it." said Jennifer.
"I think that was an easy song for you, but you did great," said Keith.
"You did a great job and you obviously have talent. But I don't know if your voice is there yet. I think you need more practice." said Harry.
I began to think I wouldn't get through and I wouldn't be with Sam. I was so nervous.
"Should we vote?" asked Harry.
"It's a yes from me," said Jennifer.
One down, two to go.
"I don't think you are ready for this competition. It's a no from me." said Harry.
