When I got back home after watching American Idol, I immediately texted Kat to see if she was invited to the party Emily invited me to.

Me: hey

A few moments later, she replied.

Kat: hey, what's up?

Me: Are you invited to that party?

Kat: Which one?

Me: I don't know, Emily invited me.

Kat: Emily Piriz? You r frendz with her?

Me: Ya, we made up, I guess. So r u going?

Kat: JC invited me to go with him to a party, do you know when it is?

Me: Friday nite.

Kat: that's the one I'm going to then! Yay!

Me: Great! So I'll see you there?

Kat: Yup! Byeeeee

Me: Bye

I shut my phone off and went to my closet to look for an outfit to wear.
I wanted to look dressy but also casual.

"Okay, so should I do the jeans and blue shirt, or the green dress with flip flops?" I asked myself as I looked at the two outfits layed out on my bed.

"I think you should go with the jeans and blue shirt," someone said making me jump a mile.

"Omg! Mom! You scared the crap out of me! I thought you were at work," I practically shouted.

"Haha, sorry, I got home early from work and just came to check on you. You didn't hear me come in?" asked my mom.

"No, I'm kinda trying to pick an outfit here."

"For what?"

"I got invited to a party on Friday-" I quickly covered my mouth, remembering that she probably wouldn't let me go. She looked at me like she was about to say that I can't go. "Please can I go? Everyone is going to this party and-" I began to plead.

"No, I can't let you go, I'm sorry, not after last time and how things turned out." my mother said.

"But mom! Sam isn't even gonna be there! I'll be the only one not going."

"I can't let you go," and with that, she left the room.

"Ughhhhhh!" I shouted in frustration. I moved my clothes that were layed out on my bed and lay down. A minute later, my phone began to buzz. I looked at the caller ID, it was Emily.

"Hello?"

"Hey, I was just wondering if you are still going to the party."

"Well, my mom just said that I can't go," I huffed.

"Oh, that's to bad. But you are seventeen years old, you should be able to go if you want." she said.

"I know but-" I stopped myself. Emily was right, I was seventeen, I can make my own decisions. "I guess you're right. I'll be at the party. I gotta go. Bye." and I hung up. If everyone was going to that party, I was too. All I would have to do is sneak out, and my mom probably wouldn't even be home on Friday night.

I put my phone on my nightstand and went to sleep.

Sam's POV

After all the interviews after the show, we went back to our hotel rooms.

"So can you believe that you almost got voted off tonight?" asked Alex on our way back.

"Actually I can. Last night wasn't my best night, so I kinda believe it." I replied truthfully.

"Would you had been sad to leave? I mean, you would go back home to Alyssa and maybe you could work things out."

"But she's dating someone else, actually, dating one of my best friends, and she probably wants nothing to do with me." I said frustrated.

"Well, if I were you, I would call your 'best friend' and ask him how Alyssa is doing. They might not even be together anymore." said Alex.

"But what do I say? 'So dude, why are you dating my old girlfriend?' That's so lame."

"I don't know dude. Just think about it." said Alex. Then he went to his room. I went to mine and sat on my bed. Should I call Lou?

Before I knew what I was doing, I had my phone to my ear. "Hey, Lou?"

"Hey! What's up man?" he said back.

"Uh, I was just wondering how Alyssa is doing? Since you guys are, you know-"

"Oh, you think we are still together? Nah, that didn't even last a day. You can have her." My jaw hung open in disbelief. A day? I got so angry, when their relationship didn't even last a day?

"Oh, okay then, so what's up?" I asked, thinking I may as well start a conversation.

"I'm at the mall."

"The mall?"

"Ya, I'm here with my new girlfriend, she's shopping for an outfit for the party on Friday." he said. Lou had a new girlfriend already? Classic Lou.

"Party?" I asked, curious.

"Ya, everyone's going. I gotta go, apparently we are at the wrong store." and he hung up. I was really curious about this 'party'. Was Alyssa going too?

Alyssa's POV

Friday

"It's a typical Tuesday night, I'm listenin' to the kind of music she doesn't like," I sang to myself in the mirror as I applied my makeup. I had to say, I looked pretty good. I decided to wear my green dress that was kinda short, but oh well. Yolo, right?

When I was done, I checked to make sure that my mom wasn't home yet, and she wasn't. She said this morning that she wouldn't be home until around eleven, so as long as I'm back by 10:30, I would be fine.

I walked out the door and waited for Emily. She was going to pick me up tonight because if my mom came home, she would see that my car is still here. A few minutes later, Emily arrived.

"Hey! Ready for the party?" asked Emily as I got into the passenger seat.

"As ready as I'll ever be," I replied, buckling my seatbelt.
