Alyssa's POV
"And the person leaving us tonight unless the judges use their save is. . ." Said Ryan at results night for the top 12. This weeks theme was Home. The people in the bottom two right now were Emily and Malaya.
I was lucky enough to not be in the bottom tonight. Last night Sam sang Just One by Blind Pilot, and I sang Fallin For You, because it reminded me of when I sang it to Sam back home. Me and Emily have actually been able to become friends, but Malaya and I were better friends.
"Emily Piriz," said Ryan. Malaya hugged Emily, then she sang Stars, and did great. The judges didn't use the save, so we all went to the stage to say bye to Emily.
"Believe it or not, I'm gonna miss you," I told her as I hugged her after the show. She was crying, but she laughed a little bit from the comment I made.
"Ya, I'll miss you too, maybe we can become better friends when the show is over. You have my number, right?" she asked.
"Ya, I'll text you later. Bye," then I left backstage while Sam said his goodbye. Then we headed back to the hotel.

When we got back, I began to head to my room, but Sam stopped me.
"Hey, wait up." He said as he grabbed my arm.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"Look, you haven't really been talking to me that much, and you never told me why you were 'mad' at me last week in the limo." he said, releasing my arm. I did forget to tell him, but why does it matter?
"I wasn't mad at you, Sam. I was just...worried, I guess."
"But, about what?"
"That I would go home! Sam, I can't even go a day without you! How would I be able to go a month?" I said.
"Alyssa, you aren't gonna go home though! You are a great singer, and ya, you were in the bottom last week, but you didn't go home. You have absolutely nothing to worry about," he said, gathering me into a hug.
"I hope you're right," I said, hugging him back.

The next day we had the day off, so we all decided to go out. We went to eat at a place called Cooler's, but we all just got ice cream.
We all became very good friends, and I almost didn't want anyone to go home. But then I remembered that it is still a competition. I missed Emily though, so I decided to text her.
Me- Hey, I'm at Cooler's right now, kinda bored.
Moments later, she replied:
Emily- Cool :) I'm at the beach, relaxing. I'm kinda happy to be home, weird right?
Me- Haha ya, I gtg, bye
I locked my phone then went back to eating my ice cream. But I noticed that Sam wasn't sitting next to me anymore. Again. He was leaving a lot, I noticed.
"Hey Jena, do you know where Sam went?" I asked her.
"Ya, he said he needed to step outside for a minute, I don't know why though." she told me.
"Ok, thanks," I said, then got up to go see what was going on.
I stepped outside and noticed Sam was sitting on the bench outside the cafe.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked as I sat next to him. He wasn't doing anything, just staring off into space.
"Um, just thinking, I guess." he said, still not looking at me.
"'Bout what?"
He sighed then looked at me. Seconds later, he replied. "I've been thinking, a lot, about what you said last night. And I'm kinda thinking the opposite. What if I go home? Gosh, I don't know what I would do," he stopped and put his head in his hands. I was about to say something, but he stood up.
"We should just go back inside, I'm sorry for bringing that up," he said then walked back inside.
