Could It Be? (A Sam Woolf fanfiction)

Chapter 18

I wake up at about 11:30, and just about everyone was sleeping in front of the TV. But I notice something different. Sam isn't here.

I get up and stretch, then walk over to his room, remembering where it was. I heard his voice talking, so I was about to open the door, but stopped. I could tell he was talking on the phone, and i assumed he was talking about me.

"I know, but I love her," said Sam over the phone. I wondered who he was talking to.

"Yes, I promised, okay! I know it was kind of dumb of me to do that, but it just felt like the right thing to say. I don't ever want to leave her," he said.

"I gotta go, Alyssa might be wondering where I am, bye."

Was he talking about leaving me, and that he shouldn't have promised me anything?

I heard footsteps, so I ran back to the couch and pretended to sleep.

Sam came back and put his arms back around me.

"I love you, Alyssa," he said, then I fell back asleep.

Rush Week, Day 1 Performance

Alyssa's POV

Today the girls find out who made it into the top 20. I was nervous, but also confident.

We were told to dress appropriately for the song we were supposed to sing, and I was going to sing A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, accompanying it with the guitar.

I decided to wear a long dark blue dress with heels and a necklace.

"Are you ready to go yet?" yelled Malaya as she knocked on my door. We were told to leave with our roommates.

"Yes, just give me like five more seconds," I said, then looked in the mirror one last time and left with the girls.

When we got there, I was really nervous because we would be singing in front of so many people. But we had to get chosen first.

We took our seats in a small room backstage, and the show started.

We waited as the judges introduced the first person, and it was Majesty Rose. I didn't know her that well, but we have talked before. She sang Happy by Pharrell Williams and was really good. A lot of other people sang too, including Kristen, Malaya, Emily, and Jena.

Soon there were only six people left in the room, including me. There was only one more person that was going to sing, and the rest would go home.

"And last person to sing is. . .Alyssa Myers!" said Kieth. I jumped up and down then remembered I had to go sing. I went on stage and began my song.

When I finished, I thought I did very good, although I think I did better during practice. The judges all quickly said I did great, then I sat down with the rest of the girls. I didn't really know any of the people who went home, but I was very excited to be in the top 20.

(A/N: I am replacing Mk with Alyssa because she doesn't really have a part in my story.)

Two Days Later

Today we were finding out who would be in the top 13. Sam had made it into the top 20 also, but I wasn't really surprised, he was so good.

We all took our seats in the "lounge" in the auditorium and waited for the results. The first person into the top thirteen was Malaya, and I was really happy for her. Emily also made it in.

"And the next girl to make it into the top 13 is. . .Alyssa Myers!" said Ryan. Everyone in the audience clapped and screamed my name, happy that I got in. I took a seat on a chair on stage.

"Good job," said Emily. She was the last person I would have guessed to say that to me. But I said thanks anyway.

Nine of the ten chairs were filled and Sam still wasn't there.

"And the last person to make it into the top 10 is...Sam Woolf!" said Ryan. I was so happy that we would be in the top 13 together!

The judges picked three "wild card" people, and they included Jena and Kristen.

After the show, we all went to dinner at this cool restaurant.

We all went around the table introducing each other since not all of us knew each other. The top 13 consisted of Caleb, Malaya, Emily, Kristen, Me, Sam, Jess, Jena, Alex, Majesty, Ben, Dexter, and CJ. We all got to know each other and I really liked all of them. I almost wished that none of us went home.

Just to let you know, I will be making the chapters shorter, like this one. I want the story to be longer! And I am on spring break now, so I hope to update more!
