Today was the day that we would find out if we made it to the top 30 or not.

I woke up and took a quick shower, then put on a pair of neon green high-waisted shorts, a grey cropped shirt, and a grey beanie. Then I did my makeup and wore my white toms.

I opened my door to leave, and Sam was there, sitting on the floor right outside the door.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked.

"I'm really nervous. I came here a couple hours, but I didn't want to wake you, so I just sat by the door." he said, looking down. I could tell he was really nervous. I sat down next to him and tried to talk to him.

"Why are you so nervous?" I asked him.

"Because I know that you are going to make it in for sure, but I don't know if I will. If I go home, I won't see you for months, and I can barely go a day without you," he said.

"Sam, your voice is so good. If someone's going to go home, it's gonna be me." I said, knowing that was the truth.

We then got up and headed to the place that we had to go to see if we made it in or not.

"Emily, you're up first," said Ryan as he began to call names. We had to go in an elevator and then go see the judges in a big room.

We waited for about 10 minutes, then she came back out. She made it, but I wasn't surprised.

Many more people went, some came out very happy, but more came out crying, showing that they didn't make it.

"Sam Woolf, you are next." said Ryan.

He took a deep breath and stood up.

"Good luck," I said. He nodded as he walked to the doors.

Sam's POV

I walked into the elevator, and I was so nervous. This could be it, I just didn't know what to expect.

I walked into the room and the judges were there waiting for me.

"Hello. How are you?" asked Jennifer.

"I'm good, how are you?" I asked.

"I'm good. Now we have to get down to business. I think you did great with your original. I think it was a risk, but you made the right choice. But at the end if the day, we really have to think about who could really be the next American Idol." said Jennifer.

Oh no. This is it. I don't think I made it...

"And I really think it could be you. You're in the top 30!" she said. I felt like a thousand pounds was just lifted off of my shoulders.

"Thank you so much!" I said as I gave them all hugs.

"Now Sam, what did you think we were going to say?" asked Harry.

"I really didn't know. Cause there is a lot of good people here, I'm just so glad I made it. Thank you so much," I said. I said thank you one more time then went back in the elevator.

I came out and my dad and grandparents were there.

"I made it!" I said, then everyone gave me a hug.

"Congratulations, Sam. Alyssa, you are up next," said Ryan. I wished her luck and she went into the elevator.

Alyssa's POV

When Sam came out saying he made it, I was so happy for him. I was glad that he made it in, and I knew right there that he would make it very far. And now, on the elevator, I was starting to wonder if I would make it any farther.

"Hi Alyssa, how are you," asked Harry.

"Uh, very nervous," I said in response as I sat down in the chair they had set up for the contestants.

"Well we have to get down to business. I really think you improved this past week. At the auditions, your voice was kind of shaky, but this week, you really showed me what you can do," said Keith.

"Yes, I do too, but unfortunately, this guy doesn't always agree with us," said Jennifer, pointing to Harry.

I nodded in understanding and was trying to hold back my tears. I gave it my all this past week, so if I didn't make it, I don't know what I would do.

But all I could think about at that moment was Sam. If I didn't make it, would we be able to continue our relationship?

What do you guys think? Will she make it, or will she go home? Only I know ;)

Thanks so much for all the reads, comments, and votes! Hopefully I will update more often since spring break is next week for me. Thanks again!
