Alyssa's POV
Hollywood Week Day 1
Today was the first day of Hollywood week.
Sam and I were driving to the place we were supposed to go, but I didn't think it was the Hollywood stage.
"Are we at the right place? This doesn't seem right," I said, looking out the window.
"This is where it said to go, so I guess," said Sam, looking as confused as me.
We got out of the car and walked into the building.
All of the other contestants were there too, so we were in the right place.
Sam and I walked over to someone to see if they knew what was going on.
"Hey, do you know why we are here?" I asked the first person I saw.
"No idea. My name is Jena by the way," she said as she shook my hand.
"I'm Alyssa, nice to meet you," I said back.
Me, Sam, and Jena talked for a couple of minutes, then we heard the judges talk.
"Okay, I know you are all confused, but we looked back at the auditions and saw that some of you stood out, while others, not so much. So we are going to call fifty people up to sing for us again," said Harry.
"25 of you will make it, 25 of you won't." said Jennifer.
We all gasped. We were getting separated this quickly? Before we had the chance to compete?
Many names went by, most of them very good. After the 40th person went, they called another name.
"Alyssa Myers," they said.
'Oh no,' I thought. This could be it right here.
"You'll do great, don't worry," Sam whispered in my ear as he gave me a hug.
"Good luck," said Jena.
"Hello, Alyssa, are you nervous?" asked Keith.
"Ya, just a little bit," I said, adjusting my microphone.
"Whenever you're ready," said Jennifer.
I sang Titanium by David Guetta, the acoustic version.
After I finished, everyone clapped as I went to sit back down. Sam gave me a kiss and Jena said I did great.
After all the 50 people went, the judges began to talk. Jena and Sam didn't sing.
"Everyone who didn't sing, will be moving on, the people that did sing will be split into two groups. One group will be put on a bus that will take you to the hotel, while the other group will be taken to the airport to go home." said Keith.
I was so nervous. This was complete torture. We have to ride a bus, not knowing if we are safe or not.
When they called my name, Jena and Sam both gave me hugs.
"I'll see you at the hotel," said Sam.
"Ya, I hope. I got to go, bye," I said. Then I left to go on the bus, not knowing where it was taking me.

There wasn't anyone on the bus I was riding that I knew, but I noticed that some of them were really good at singing. This gave me confidence, but there were also people that weren't that good. But that's what Hollywood week is for, right?
We rode for another half hour, then saw that we were at a hotel. I sighed with relief while other people hugged each other. I couldn't wait to see Jena and Sam, especially.
When I got off the bus, Sam was waiting there and I jumped into his arms.
"I told you you would make it!" he said.
"I know, I'm so relieved," I said. Jena was there too and she said good job.
We headed back to the hotel and were assigned our roommates.
I was put with a couple of girls named Kristen, Jenna, Mya, and Malaya.
I saw that everyone else had 6 people, and we had 5 in our group.
"Do you guys know why we only have 5 people?" I asked them.
"Ya, someone else is coming in later," said Kristen.
"Oh, okay thanks," I said as we got to our room.
I got put in the smallest room, but I didn't care. I began to unpack my stuff, when I heard a familiar voice talking to my roommates in the kitchen.
"Ya, I'm so excited to be in the competition," said the voice.
I went around the corner and stopped in my tracks.
It was Emily.
I went back into my room and closed the door. I began to pace back and forth while running my hand through my hair.
This can't be happening. It's bad enough she's in the competition, but we are also roommates.
I called Sam to see what I should do.
"Hey Myers, what's up?" he asked over the phone.
"Um, I'm kinda freaking out right now," I said.
"Why? Do you like your roommates? Mine are awesome," he said.
"Well I like most of them. . ." I said. There was a pause before he responded.
"It's Emily, isn't it." he said quietly.
"Ya it is- wait, how did you know?" I asked, confused.
"I saw her at the auditions, but I didn't want to freak you out; you were already nervous enough," he said.
"I don't get it. I didn't even know she sung," I said, plopping onto my bed.
"I did, she wasn't that good though 4 years ago though," he said.
"Well, people change I guess," I said.
"Ya, well I have to go, but call me if you need anything," he said, then we exchanged goodbyes and hung up.
I still didn't know what to do though.
I thought that maybe I should try to go talk to her; it's not like I can stay in my hotel room the whole competition.
I left my room and went into the kitchen, where the girls were talking.
"Hey guys, what's up?" I asked.
"Hey Alyssa, here is our last roommate, Emily," said Malaya.
"Hi Emily," I said nervously, but I don't think anyone noticed.
"Oh hi, you're Alyssa? Nice to meet you!" she said as she shook my hand.
