Alyssa's POV

I woke up from sleeping and tried to move, and to my surprise, I was finally able to. I could also open my eyes, but still felt very weak.

My mom noticed me from the kitchen and ran over to me.

"Are you alright?" she asked as she helped me sit up. I tried to say yes, but I couldn't talk. My throat was hurting like crazy. I shook my head.

"Well, what's wrong?" asked my mother. I pointed to my throat, hopefully she would understand.

"Oh, I understand. Maybe you have strept throat. I will get you some medicine. Do you need anything else?" I pretended to write on a peice of paper. She nodded in understanding and left.

I fell back onto the couch. What the hell happened to me? I still don't understand anything at all. When mom came back, I took the medicine and wrote down what i wanted to know.

"Okay, so you want to know what happened and why I kicked Kat out of the house?" I nodded. "But how did you know that I did that to Kat?" she asked. So it was Kat.

I wrote down that I heard her and Kat talking behind me, and that she said it was better if Kat left. I tried to move or even open my eyes, but didnt have the strength to.

"Oh," she sighed. "I did that because I didn't think it was necessary for her to be in here. I thought maybe just family was the best." She saw my expression on my face. "Don't worry, I dont think she would be mad at you." I nodded and pointed to the other question.

"Okay, what happened. Well..." my mom told me all about what happened. She said I was in the hospital for two and a half days unconscious, and that they didn't know what was wrong with me. "And when you woke up, they let you go home."

I wrote on my paper questioning that I woke up. "Yes, you did, and the doctors said that you probably won't remember when you wake up at home." I nodded. I wrote that I wanted to go back to sleep, I was feeling tired again. My mom said okay and left me alone.

Sam's POV

After Kat hung up, I put my phone down and sighed. Why was Emily so damn jealous? She needs to move on! I really didn't feel like talking to her, but before I knew it, i was dialing her number. She picked up on the second ring.

"Hello?" she asked.

"Hey, it's Sam."

"Oh, hi! How are you?"

"Um, fine, I guess. You?" this was starting off pretty slow.

"I'm good! So why are you calling?" she asked. I thought quickly of ways to ask her if she did this to Alyssa, although I pretty much know the answer.

"So I was just wondering how Alyssa is doing." There was a long pause.

"I though you guys broke up." she said so quietly I almost didn't hear her.

"Well, we did, but I haven't talked to her in a long time and I want to know how she is."

"I haven't seen her for a few days."

"How many?" I asked.

"Like, two or three days." That is when the party was! I was getting somewhere.

"Do you-" she cut me off.

"Sam, I know what your doing. I'm not stupid. You know that I was the one who put something in her drink, right?" I nodded in surprise that she came clean, but then realized she couldn't see me.

"Yeah, I do."

"I just don't like her. I don't know why, I just don't. And I though if I put the stuff in her drink, she wouldn't be able to sing for the first reahearsels of the tour, and she would be cut from the tour, and maybe they would take me." she paused. "Your probably really mad at me, right?"

"Well, I give you points for being honest. But this is really bad, and you could get in a lot of trouble." I said.

"I know, but can you please not tell anyone?" she asked. I was about to say yes, but then remembered that I needed to tell Kat to help.

"I can't promise that, but I promise I won't tell the cops or anyone important. Okay?"

"Sure, I guess. I have to go, bye Sam."

"Bye." I couldn't believe she just came clean like that. I dialed Kat's number right away.

"Hey, Sam! Did you call Emily?" she asked.

"Ya, and she admitted that she did it. But I don't understand why she did," I said.

"Ya, that's weird, but at least we know that she did it. Did she say why she did?"

"Yeah, it was so Alyssa would be too sick, and then she could get a spot on the tour." I said.

"Wow, that's low."

"I know right? So what now?" I asked.

"We have to tell the police about this, this is really serious." said Kat. I was about to say right, but then remembered I made the promise to Emily that I wouldn't tell the cops or anyone like that.

"Sam, hello? Are you still there?" asked Kat. I shook out of my thoughts, remembering I was still on the phone.

"Kat, I gotta go. Bye." and I hung up. I can't break a promise. I just can't.
