Please read end note!!!!!
I quickly went backstage while it was on commercial break and got ready. I wasn't as nervous anymore, because I knew I would mess up. But I would be doing this on purpose.
If no one else messed up, then Sam would be going home, and I knew how much this meant to him. It meant a lot more to him than to me.
When we got back from break, I went on stage and began to sing.
I got about half way through the song, then I "accidentally" tripped and messed up the words in my song. I missed about ten lyrics, then got back on track.
When it was over, I walked over to the center of the stage, waiting for my comments.
"Well first of all, are you okay? I saw you trip," said Jennifer, kindly.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"Well, this definitely was not your best performance, I saw that you messed up a bit, but I still think you did great overall," said Keith.
Wait, what? He actually liked it?
"Yeah, I think you could've done a lot better, but your voice still sounded great. You sang with a lot of power, and that's what I like about you," said Harry. I just smiled and thanked him, but I was really surprised. They actually liked it?
I said thank you one more time, then all of the contestants came to the stage to end the show. Then we all left to go eat at a restaurant.

"Are you okay?" asked Sam when we got to the restaurant.
"Yes, I'm fine, I just tripped," I said in response as I took a bite of my food.
"No, that's not what I mean. You messed up tonight when you sang, and you never mess up," said Sam as he sipped his glass of water. I was thinking about telling him that I messed up on purpose, but that probably wouldn't go too well.
"I guess I just didn't practice enough," I said, shrugging.

When we got back to the hotel, Sam said that I was staying with him in his room tonight, and I agreed.
We watched a movie for a while, and I was beginning to fall asleep. I yawned and Sam looked down at me.
"You tired?" he asked me.
"Yeah, it's been a long day."
"I know, too long of a day," he said in response. It was silent for a moment, then I began to say something without even thinking about the words I would say.
"Sam, when you promised you would never leave me, did you really mean it?" I asked. I really needed to know, but regretted asking because he didn't respond for at least a minute.
"I love you Alyssa, I love you so much," he said, then I fell asleep.

Tonight, I decided I would wear a dark pink loose dress with heels, and simple make up. Tonight we would find out would be going home, unless the judges used their save.
As I got my shoes on, I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and it was Sam, waiting for me.
"Hey, ready to go find out the results," he asked as he took my hand and we headed out the door.
"No, but do I have a choice?" I asked nervously. Sam didn't say anything, just shook his head no.
We walked to the limo without saying another word, and it was really weird. I guess we just didn't have anything to talk about.
When the show started, we all had a seat in the lounge, and Ryan opened up the show.
"And this. . .is American Idol," he said, getting a loud applause from the audience. But I just sunk back farther into my seat, nervous for the results.
After the judges walked out, we got to the results.
"Can I please have Majesty, Jena, and CJ to the stage please?" asked Ryan. The four contestants got up from their seats and walked over to the stage.
"The first person to be safe is...Jena!"
Said Ryan. Jena looked surprised, then hugged Majesty and CJ. Then she had a seat in the lounge. and Majesty was also safe, so CJ was in the bottom three.
"May I please have Sam, Alex, Dexter, and Malaya to the stage," said Ryan. They all stood up and walked over to the stage.
"Good luck," I said when Sam started to walk away. But then he stopped walking. He turned around and wrapped his arms around me, embracing me in a tight hug.
"Thank you, Myers," he said, then walked over to the stage.
Well, that was unexpected. And he hadn't called me Myers in a while.
Malaya was first to be safe, along with Alex and Dexter. That meant that Sam was in the bottom. Then it was commercial break, so Sam walked back over to the lounge.
"I am so going home," he said to me and Alex.
"No, you aren't. I am, I know it." I said.
"But I messed up so much worse than you did. I just, I don't know why I messed up, I guess-" but Sam was cut off by Ryan calling him back to the stools, meaning the show was back on.
The last group to go was called up to the stage, consisting of me, Jess, and Caleb.
"Caleb, you are safe!" said Ryan, earning a loud round of applause from the crowd. "And Jess...you are also safe, that means that Alyssa, you are in the bottom three." I nodded in understanding, hugged Jess, then took a seat next to Sam, who gave me a hug and whispered something in my ear, but I didn't hear it. Then we went to another commercial break.
Sam and I tweeted our fans, and they were all saying that we shouldn't be in the bottom, even though we messed up.
When we got back from break, the three of us went up to the stage and waited for the results.
"Welcome back to American Idol. So here is your bottom three, America, and the first person to be safe is...Sam Woolf!" said Ryan. Sam looked very surprised, and then walked over to the lounge.
"So the person going home tonight unless the judges use their save is...Alyssa Myers."
