(Hospital Visits)

(Shawn's POV)

"You ready?" I asked Aly and she nodded. We were at the local children's hospital and were going to visit some of the kids.

"Are you Shawn Mendes?" I heard a voice say. I looked over and it's a little girl. "I am, hi sweetie." I said.

"Can I get a picture?" She asked. I nodded and Aly took the picture of the two of us.

"Have a nice day,"

"You too, I will see you soon." I said and gave her one last hug. I grabbed Aly's hand again and picked up my guitar case with the other.

"Shawn?" I turned around and it was Melissa the lady I had talked on the phone to about doing a little show for some of the patients.

"Yeah, Melissa?" I asked and she nodded, "are you ready?" She asked, I nodded. "Come this way, I have some of the patients in a room waiting." She said and we followed behind her.

"Hi guys!" I said and waved, all the girls started screaming and some came up to me to get a hug. "Shawn came to sing some songs!" Melissa said. "Can you play Something Big?" A little girl asked. I nodded and started strumming the beat. (A/N: Play Something Big by Shawn Mendes)

Shawn had just finished a few more songs and most of the girls had a smile on there face.

I saw Shawn notice her and went up to where she was sitting. I joined and knelt down along with him.

"Hi sweetheart, what's your name?" I asked her.

"Gracie,"

"Where are your parents?" Shawn asked.

"They left me, after I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer."

Shawn and I just looked at each other.
