Then everything went black.

(Shawn's POV)

I was taking a nap when I was woken up by my phone. I didn't know who it was. I just grabbed it and put it against my ear without looking at the Caller ID.

(PO- Police Officer & S- Shawn)

PO- Hello, is this Shawn, Alyson's boyfriend?

S- Yes, this is him. What happened? Is she okay?

PO- She was in a car accident, she's on her way to the hospital. I would suggest you come, as soon as possible.

S- I will be there as soon as I can. Thank you!

(End of Phone Call)

I booked the closest flight I could find and headed to the airport. I just hope it wasn't nothing to severe and that I would get there in time. Once I got to the airport, I got onto my flight and just stared out the window.

(3 Hours Later)

I finally made it to the the airport here in Vegas. I got off the plane and headed to find my car. I didn't bring any clothes with me, all I could think of was Alyson.

"Where to?" He asked. "Hospital," I said and started out the window. Please be okay, Princess.

(At the Hospital)

once I found the room, the doctor was walking out of the room. "Are you Alyson's doctor?" I asked him. "I am, you are?" He asked. "His boyfriend, how is she?" I asked him. "She was in a car accident, hit from behind. It caused a whiplash and because of it her vocal cords were severely injured." He explained.

"What does that mean?" I asked. "There's a slight possibility she won't be able to speak again." After he said that I felt like my whole world came crumbling down on me. I know it isn't as severe as a lot of people get when in a car accident. But not being able to hear my girlfriend speak again would be the worst thing ever.

I went in with the doctor right behind me. There laid my girlfriend, staring out the window. But her head turned slowly toward the door when she heard it open. "Hi Aly, I caught the next flight here when I heard about your accident. I couldn't bare to lose you." I said grabbing her hand.

"Alyson, could you try to say something." He said. She opened her mouth but Nothing came out. She tried it again and Nothing. She then started to cry in my arms. "Come get me, once it sinks in so I can explain what happened to her." He said leaving us alone for a minute.

(15 Minutes Later)

I went to go get the doctor again, then took the seat I had before next to Alyson. "Alyson, what happened was, you were hit from behind and that caused a whiplash and because of it your vocal cords were severely injured. That's why you could say a word when you tried too. Sadly, there isn't anything we can do. But I suggest sign language, or saying what you want to say on a whiteboard." He said.

(Alyson's POV)

I can't believe I won't be able to speak again. I don't know what I'm going to do. If only I hadn't gotten into the car.

(Shawn's POV)

I brought Aly into my arms because she was in tears again knowing that she wasn't going to be able to speak again.

This was going to be Hard.
