(A Few Days Later)

(Aly's POV)

"Are you ready Gracie?" The nurse asked my baby girl. She slowly nodded as she squeezed both mine and Shawn's hands.

Shawn and I always sit on either side of her bed when she's going to be getting her chemo, she hates needles so we let her squeeze our hands when they put the needle in.

"See all better now, baby." Shawn said kissing her forehead. She was slowly starting to drift off to sleep. The chemo sessions don't usually make you go to sleep but since Gracie is so young she has too or well it makes her.

Shawn and I still haven't done any wedding planning and its been months since we got engaged. But with everything going on with Gracie we want her to be healthy first before we do anything else.

A few days ago we went to one of Shawn's concert and it was Gracie's first one seeing her Dad preform live on stage.

She had so much fun but I could tell it wore her out because the next day all she dd was sleep. Shawn got worried but I called the doctor and he said it was normal with her condition.

After she was finally asleep Shawn left to go get us some breakfast and coffee. It was pretty early in the morning and I knew we were going to need the energy.

Gracie's doctor usually comes in after she's sleeping and afterwards after checking if their were any changes with her tumor. I never knew what to expect but I always had hope that the tumor would lessen with every session.

The sessions once every week but I knew that with just that it tired Gracie out a lot. We always tried to get her to do stuff or at least get her to eat when we got home since she hated the hospital food. But who would like the food here it sucks.

"Your coffee and blueberry muffin," Shawn said hanging me my stuff. He sat down next to me and we ate our breakfast while looking over at Gracie as she peacefully slept.

"Do you think anything will change?"

"There's a slight chance but all we can do now is wait."

"I hate seeing her go thru this."

"Me too babe, me too."

These types of things or even seeing your child in any kind of pain always hurt the parents. I know we both wish that we could take her pain away.

I enjoyed my coffee till I was done with it. Shawn was still eating his muffin when I got up to throw my stuff away.

My family was never around so I didn't really have anyone else to talk to except Shawn's family and the girls.

(2 Hours Later)

"How are you doing, Gracie?" The doctor said sitting on the bed. "Tired," she said. "That's normal, get some rest." He said. "Well, the tumor did go down a little more. We will keep trying Chemo to hopefully get rid of it completely without having to do any surgery." He continued.

"Thank you so much," Shawn said as he hugged me. I was crying because I was so happy all of this was paying off and that our baby girl was getting better. ____________________________________________________________________________________
