Chapter 45:

(2 Days Later)

(Aly's POV)

It's been two days since Gracie was taken, we've been looking everywhere and checking the hashtag to see if any of the fans have seen her in the city or something. But as of now nothing other then tweets of them asking us if we had any news.

We did tweet yesterday that we went to the police station and now it's more searching on our own while the police do what they know what to do.

I was in the kitchen making us our second cup of coffee. Shawn and I haven't slept since yesterday morning when we woke up to go to the police station. We are pretty much living off coffee at the moment.

I was going to get ready after I finished my cup so I could go out with the girls to look for Gracie. One thing I was dreading was that the man took her out of Vegas, then she could be anywhere.

(20 Minutes Later)

I just finished getting ready and right on time I hear the girls downstairs with Shawn. "You ready?" Val asked. I nodded. "I'll be back," I said and kiss Shawn. "I love you," he said back. "I love you, too." I said before following the girls.

"Where to first?" Nay asked getting into the driver's seat. "Let's go down and back some of the streets and maybe asks a few people on the streets and stuff." I suggested. She nodded and started the car.

Gracie mommy's coming for you.

(Shawn's POV)

Aly just left to go look for Gracie with the girls and I'm on the laptop. I was scrolling thru the hashtag to see if there was any news on here.

Nothing.

I just hope we can find our baby soon. I knew she was out there I just needed a little clue on where.

That's when I got the idea to call her old nurse to see if she had any information on where Gracie was from, like her birth place and all of that.

I finally found Melissa's number. I grabbed my laptop and headed upstairs to call her but also keep an eye on Twitter while being on the phone.

(M- Melissa & S- Shawn)

M- Good morning, this is Las Vegas Hospital, how may I help you?

S- I was wondering if this was Melissa from the children unit of the hospital?

M- This is she, how may I help you?

S- This is Gracie's adoptive dad, Shawn Mendes, I was at the hospital a few months ago doing a show when I adopted Gracie.

M- Ah, yes. How are you guys?

S- I've been better. Gracie was taken from us two days ago but I was wondering if you guys had any information on her biological parents?

M- I believe we still do. Give me a minute.

M- I do, do you have a pen and paper?

S- I do.

M- Her biological parents were Yasmine and Gordon Higgins.

S- Did she gave any siblings?

M- She had an older brother Ryan Higgins.

S- Thank you so much!

M- I hope you find Gracie soon!

S- Thanks again.

(End of Phone Call)

I went to Aly's contact and called her to tell her about the information I got on Gracie's family. "Babe?" I said. "What is it? Any news?" Aly said. "I got some, I called Melissa and she told about Gracie's biological parents and that she had an older brother." I explained.

"What are you thinking?" She asked.

"Babe, what if the man was her dad or her brother?" I suggested.

"I think your right, but where would they be?" She asked.

"I'll do some research but you guys keep looking." I said.

"Okay, I love you." She said.

"I love you."

I went onto the Google tab and typed in each of their names individually. As of now nothing on her parents. I typed in her brother name and I was shocked and scared for my little girl.

I took pictures of all of them and a picture of Ryan then sent them to the detective that was on our case.

I just hope this gets us somewhere.
