(The Next Day)
(Aaliyah's POV)
After yesterday, I was wrong about Aly and I couldn't believe dad. I had barely met Gracie and I loved her to pieces. I would have thought my parents would too but I guess dad was just disappointed that Shawn had a daughter before marriage.
I had just woken up and I was going to be going home last night. But I ended up falling asleep, I got out of bed and thankfully didn't wake Gracie.
I went into the kitchen and saw that Shawn was already up. "Morning, lil sis." Shawn said. "Morning, how are you doing?" I said. "well, after yesterday not so great." He said.
"I thought dad would be more supportive after I told the story. What would you have done, if you were in my feet and saw a 6 year old in the need of love and caring parents?" He continued.
"I would have done exactly what you did. And i'm glad you and Aly adopted her, she's an angel and I love her already." I said. "Thank you, sis." Shawn said. "That's what family's for, big bro." I said.
I went into the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water. I don't think Aly or Gracie are up yet. "Do you guys have any plans for today?" I asked. "I don't think so," Shawn said drinking his shake.
The rest of the day was spend having quality family time with my brother, his fiance, and my adorable niece. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
