Chapter 33:

(Alyson's POV)

"We'll be right back, Gracie." I said and pulled Shawn to the side.

"Are you thinking what i'm thinking,"

"About Gracie?"

"Yeah, Shawn I think we should adopt her. Even if she doesn't live to long she needs love from her parents, support, and care." I said.

"I totally agree with you, shall we go ask her?" Shawn said.

"We shall," I said and he grabbed my hand. We walked back to the room and went to the same spot Gracie was sitting at when we had last talked to her. 

"Hey Gracie, we have a question for you," Shawn said. "What is it?" She asked. "What would you say to me and my girlfriend, Aly being your new parents?" Shawn continued.

 "Really?"

We nodded. "I can finally have a family?" She asked. "We will be your new family," Aly said. She just nodded, Shawn got up to go talk to a nurse while I stayed with Gracie. 

(Shawn's POV)

"Melissa?" I asked. "Yeah, what can I do for you?" She said turning around to face me.

"Well, after the little show. I talked to all of the fans but one stood out to me, Gracie. I went to go ask her if she enjoyed the show, and I asked her where here parents were. But she told me that they had left her after they found out about her condition. And I just wanted to ask where would my girlfriend and I have to sign to adopt her. We talked about it and don't want Gracie to go thru any more of this alone." I explained. 

"We can go to the front and I can get the paper work ready," she said I looked back at Aly and gave her a nod so she could come over. 

"Sign here,"

"Here," 

"And here,"

"Okay, now i'm happy to say that Gracie is now yours." Melissa said and I hugged Aly. I went back into the room and all of the other patients had left. I was guessing this was Gracie's room. 

"Gracie, guess what?" Aly asked her once we got inside the room. "What?" She asked. "You won't have to be alone anymore!" Aly said. "What do you mean?" She continued. "We're your new parents, princess." I said. 

"Really?" 

"Yup," I said and what she did next surprised me. She came up to both of us and pulled us into a hug. We were in our first family hug when I heard a camera go off. I looked around and it was Melissa taking a picture of us.

(A Couple Hours Later)

"Do you want anything to eat, princess?" I asked Gracie. "Grapes!" She yelled, excitedly. Aly got up and went to the phone to order Gracie's grapes and some dinner for us. 

*Knock Knock*

"Come in," I said and in came Melissa. "Has Gracie had dinner?" She asked. "We just ordered some," Aly said, she nodded. "I'm just going to check her vitals before the food comes," she said coming over to the side of the bed. 

The nurse took her vitals then said her goodbye's for the day since her shift was over. Gracie was sad but knew that she would be back in the morning when she woke up. 

(After Dinner)

Gracie had finally fallen asleep and now Aly and I were just laying on the futon that was in the room. "Can you believe we have a little girl?" I asked her. "No, I think of her as my own though." Aly said looking over at our baby girl.

"I do too, I can't believe her parents would leave her though." I said. "Me either, i'm glad we did this." Aly said. "Me too, me too." I said.

"Goodnight," 

"Goodnight," I said kissing my fiance's forehead before we both drifted off to sleep. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
