(A Week Later)
(Shawn's POV)
We are still on the search for Gracie but I have hope that something will happen today. I have this feeling like we will get some sort of news on where she is today. I need my baby girl.
Aly and I were out at breakfast, I wanted pancakes and we didn't have any of ingredients so we decided to go to IHOP.
"Do you think we'll hear anything, today?" Aly asked as we started to get our food.
"I have a feeling we will." I said taking a sip of my water.
(20 Minutes Later)
We were getting up to leave IHOP when my phone started ringing. "It's Drew," I said and stopped right in the middle of IHOP to answer it.
"What's he saying?" Aly asked.
"They found her!" I yelled and hugged Aly. "Let's go!!" Aly said and we ran out of the restaurant. I can't believe we are this close to having our baby girl back.
(Aly's POV)
We were getting ready to leave IHOP when Shawn's phone rang and it was the detective on our case to find Gracie. They found her. We are finally getting our princess back.
(At the Police Station)
We literally ran inside when we got to the station. Once the doors open their was Gracie with the detective and another man who was handcuffed held back by another officer.
"Mommy! Daddy!" Gracie yelled once she saw us while running toward us. We both knelt down and caught her. "Hi baby," I mumbled into her hair, Shawn gave her a kiss on the forehead but then left to go talk to the detective.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
"What'd he do to you?" I continued.
"Who is that, sweetie?" I just kept throwing questions at her.
"He didn't hurt me, he's my older brother, Ryan. But he did keep saying he wasn't going to bring me back to y--you." After she said that she broke down and started crying in my arms.
"Shhh, shhh, look everything is okay now. Your safe with mommy and daddy okay? We aren't going anywhere and no one will ever take you away from us, okay?" I told her and she just nodded as she cried softly into my shoulder.
I can't imagine what she's going through after finding out that her biological older brother kidnapped her and took her away from her parents.
"You wanna go see daddy?" I asked her and she nodded still curled up. I got up from my kneeling position and started walking in the direction of where Shawn and the detective were with Gracie in my arms.
"Sweetie, you wanna play on my phone?" I asked. She nodded, I handed it to her while Shawn and the detective filled me in on what they were talking about.
"How long will he be in jail?" Shawn asked.
"He will do sometime, a few years maybe. He didn't just kidnap Gracie he had been in jail a few years ago for raping and kidnapping a 16 year old." The detective said.
We went home after that, we did inform everyone that Gracie was now home and safe. The girls ended up coming over and we watched movies like old times.
We finally had our baby girl back. Safe and sound.
