"I'm gonna run it down to y'all, tell them anything you wanna now I ain't nothin but a nasty gal now hey hey I said you said I was a bitch now didn't ya didn't ya you said I was a witch now I'm gonna tell them why I'm gonna tel..." Mary Cooper was singing at the top of her voice, dancing around her room energetically, before her mom burst in. She had her lips pursed and her had on her hip.

"Oh honey." She said sternly while walking over to Mary. Mary looked at her blankly. "What have I told you about this music." Alice said marching past Mary and turning off Betty Davis.

"It's a classic, mom." Mary groaned sitting on her bed. Alice turned to face her. Mary was sick of her mom always making her feel like an outsider for liking a different type or art, music and literature.

"It's loud. Get to bed you have school tomorrow." Alice replied walking straight to the door. Alice then slowly turned around to face her daughter. "Mary, have you ever thought about dying your hair blonde, you know like the rest of us." Alice suggested. She never meant to be rude nor mean when she suggested it but because of her attitude it came off as rude. Alice then smiled at her shocked daughter before she left the room. Mary marched up to the door and opened it in anger.

"I have always been a brunette and if you hate it that much then why don't you just ship me away like you did Polly!" Mary shouted while slamming her door. Mary just hated her family sometimes and wanted to leave Riverdale. Mary wanted to roam the streets of Rome and strolll through Paris. Riverdale was not going to be her life. She jumped on her bed and looked at her phone, it was a message from Archie. He asked her if she was going to pops but Mary just ignored the text and walked into Betty's room to find Kevin there. Mary sat down on the Betty's bed beside Kevin. "What are we speaking about?" Mary asked.

"Betty and Archie." Kevin replied giggly. Mary knew that Betty had a crush on Archie but Mary never did.

"Are you excited? Nervous?" Mary asked intrigued. Betty turned around on her spiny chair to face them.

"Both. I haven't seen him all summer." She said smiling.

"Which is why nerves are acceptable." Mary said, while Kevin pulled his head out of his phone.

"But we agreed, Betty. It's time." Betty looked in the mirror smiling. You like him, he likes you." Kevin stated. Betty quickly spinned round and pointed her powder brush in his face.

"Well, then why, Kevin, hasn't he ever said or done anything?" Betty asked doubting her friend. Mary began to stand up and walk over to the window, Kevin followed.

"Because Archie's swell, but like most millennial straight guys, he needs to be told what he wants" Kevin said slowly following Mary to the window. "So tell him finally.

"Well, we'll see. I mean it depends." Betty said applying her makeup.

"Oh my God!" Mary shouted while looking over at a shirtless Archie.

"What?" Betty asked while spinning on her chair to face the pair looking out of the window.

"Game Changer." Mary muttered to herself smiling. "Archie got hot! He's got abs now." Mary shouted excitably. Betty ran up to the window. Mary cannot deny that Archie was hot.

"Six more reasons for you to take that ginger bull by the horns tonight." Kevin said while him and Betty smiled.

"I have to go, going out tonight." Mary said running out of Betty's room and down the stairs.

"Mom, there is this thing with Archie I am going to go." Mary shouted running out of the house. Alice just rolled her eyes. Mary walked up to the front door and knocked, Archie answered. He opened up the door and Mary grinned at him.
