Chapter 12: Books, Breakfast Club and Blonde. ✔

Mary was sitting in the newspaper room with Betty, Jughead and Kevin. They had went off topic and spoke about Archie.

"So you and the ginger stallion are over?" Kevin asked resting his chin on his palm. Mary nodded. "Is it because he cheated on you?" Kevin asked curiously. 

"Yep. He cheated on me with his music teacher. That is just great!" Mary shouted sarcastically putting her thumbs up. Mary turned her head over to Jughead.

"Did he say anything to you?" Mary asked crossing her arms over. Jughead just shrugged.

"Not that I want to get into this but yes he wants you back." Jughead stated. Mary just laughed.

"He can have me when the world is ending and we are the only two that can make children together to save the worlds population." Mary replied. 

"So you will have sex with him?" Kevin asked looking at confused. Mary rolled her eyes.

"Keller, you do not understand." Mary shook. Trevor came through the door.

"Hey, Betty" Trevor said looking at the murder board.

"Trev, hi!" Betty exclaimed in a peppy voice. Mary just rolled her eyes, she was in a depressing mood and didn't need anything happy right now. She was literally wearing black crop top with black ripped jeans and a red and purple checked shirt. Her brown hair was tied back and she had no make up on.

"Sorry to interrupt." Trevor started before Betty cut him off.

"Oh, no Uh, it's okay." Betty interuppted. "We're just, uh, working on..." Betty stuttered looking worried.

"Our murder board." Mary replied smiling sarcastically. 

"Well, I just wanted to make sure we're still on for tomorrow?" Trevor asked smiling over at Betty. Betty nodded her head.

"Absolutely, it's a date. I mean, I'll I'll see you there." Betty laughed nervously. Mary looked at Jughead and Kevin in shock.

"So, I'll see you." Trevor replied walking out. Betty shouted out to him.

"Bye." She turned around to face everyone else.

"Going on a date with Trev? Does Mama Cooper know about that?" Kevin asked curiously. Mary laughed at him.

"Kev, I'm not on house arrest." Betty replied. Kevin looked at Mary with a raised eyebrow.

"She's out of town at a Women in Journalism spa retreat." Mary stated giving Betty a 'I-am-so-sorry' look.

"Anyway, it's not a âdateâ date." Betty stated. Jughead looked over at her.

"You just called it a date." Mary stated.

"You literally said, "It's a date."" Jughead replied.

"That's just my cover." Betty stated, everyone looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "Really, it's an intelligence gathering mission." She argued, defending herself. "We should focus on the one thing we have access to that your dad doesn't." Everyone looked at her and shrugged. "The kids at Riverdale High." Mary raised an eyebrow and smirked. "You know, maybe Trev knows something about Jason he didn't think was important."

"I am going to dye my hair blonde." Mary stated, saluting them all and walking out of the blue and gold room. She just looked down at the ground and began to walk. She bumped in to a hard chest and her books went flying to the ground. "I am so sorry." Mary muttered going down to collect her books but she bumped her head with the person and they both groaned in pain.
