"No." Alice stated bluntly as she looked over at Jules. Mary had just asked her if she could move in with Jules. They were sitting in the Coopers' living room. It was all of the Coopers then opposite them sat Jules and Mary. "I will not let you ruin your life by playing house with a drug addict." Alice shouted and Betty looked at her mom.

"Mom." She hissed and Mary sympathetically looked over at Jules.

"I am sorry Elizabeth but I will not lose Mary. She is my daughter." Alice stated sternly and Jules spoke up.

"Alice, I have been sober for fourteen years. She is my daughter." Jules explained and Alice scoffed.

"You wouldn't know the first thing about being a teenager, you were drunk and high throughout your teenage years." Alice laughed and Jules glared at her.

"I could say the same about you." Jules challenged and both Mary and Betty looked at each other in shock.

"I think thats enough, the both of you." Hal stated as he sat on the arm of the chair. Mary leaned forward and held onto Alice's hands.

"Mom, I need to get out of Riverdale. I will still go to Riverdale High but I just won't live here. I want to be a serpent." Mary explained and Alice shook her head. "It's what I want." Mary added and Alice glared at Jules.

"Elizabeth, Marie up the stairs right now." Alice demanded and the girls could tell she was pissed off.

"Mom, surely I should be down here, I mean this is..." Mary began to say before Alice interrupted.

"Now." She stated sterner and the sisters ran up the stairs. They went into Mary's room, Betty turned to face Mary.

"You really want to leave?" Betty asked and Mary nodded her head as she sat down on the bed. "But we are sisters." Betty explained and a tear strolled down Mary's face.

"I need this. I am sick of everyone lying to me and cheating me. Jules makes me feel normal for once." Mary explained as Betty sat down beside her. "She's my mom." Mary added and Betty shook her head.

"Alice Cooper is your mom. Not Jules. Is this because of Archie? Because he lives next door?" Betty asked seriously and Mary stood up laughing.

"You don't get it ." Mary laughed and Betty felt awkward. "I can't live in this house because I feel alone. I have lost everything. We fight all the time now Betty. I think if we don't live together we can be close again." Mary explained and Betty nodded her head. She was agreeing with Mary, everything was going wrong between them. Everything. "I am still going to go to school. We will see each other there, I will visit you guys. We can have sleepovers. It will be like I never left." Mary offered as she sat down beside Betty.

"So what's Jules like?" Betty asked grinning. Mary hugged onto her sister. It was going to be good, the whole separation thing. That's if Alice agreed.

"She is amazing. She is so cool and rad. I mean my real name is Mars." Mary answered in awe of Jules. Betty nodded her head. "She gets me." Mary added and that made Betty feel upset. "I am sorry." Mary whispered and Betty shook her head.

"Don't be. I would be like you if this was happening to me." Betty replied as the tears fell down her face. "I am going to miss you MareBear." Betty giggled as they used their childhood nicknames.

"Ditto, Lizzie." Mary laughed as she rested her head on Betty's shoulder.

"I wonder what's going on down the stairs." Betty thought out loud.

"Cops haven't came to the door yet, so pretty well I think." Mary joked and Betty laughed.
