Last To Know (The Wanted)

Chapter One

It's hand clamped over my mouth. It's dark eyes bore into mine, holding me captive.

"Shh." It ordered. Chance whined beside me.

Suddenly, there was some rustling of leaves and another figure appeared beside the one with it's hand over my mouth.

"Whose she." It muttered.

"We have to bring her back. She saw." The brown-eyed guy replied. My eyes widened and I shook my head.

"Alright. Be gentle, Tom. Let's go, redhead." The other guy said. The one whose named was Tom looked down at the ground and held out his palm to it. A huge gaping hole appeared.

I tried to scream and run but Tom held me tightly and my struggling was no use.

Chance barked and barked with all he could.

I reached out to grab a hold of him just before the three of us were pulled into the swirling vortex of the black hole.

When my eyes opened, I felt slightly dizzy. My head was pounding.

I looked around and noticed a wet cloth on my forehead. I slowly sat up only to have a shooting pain in my head.

I felt something move beside me and I looked to see Chance.

I wasn't in my bedroom. I wasn't anywhere I recognized. However, the room seemed... roomy. The furniture was polished-looking and white.

I became alarmed when there was a knock at the door.

"Uh... come in?" I said, unsure of myself.

An extremely attractive male in a suit walked in. Four slightly less attractive men followed behind. But the first one had beautiful brown eyes and I was instantly attracted to him.

That wasn't like me.

"You've awoken. Good." The brown-eyed god said.

"W-where am I?" I asked.

"First, what's your name, love? Don't worry. We promise we won't hurt you." The tall one standing before brown-eyes asked.

"Uh... my name... it's Maisie. Maisie DeAngelo." I replied.

"Lovely to meet you, Maisie. We have an important subject to discuss with you. Let me introduce us. This is Tom, Siva, Max, Nathan, and I'm Jay." The curly one said.

"Uh... hi?"

"Let's just cut to the chase, Jay." Tom said in a bored tone. I felt uncomfortable by him. Something about him made me want to curl up in a ball in a corner.

"Right. Okay, now listen carefully. We're not on earth right now. We're in a realm called the Immortal Realm. There are several kingdoms and empires in the Immortal Realm. And we are in the Vampirian Empire. We're all royal. Now, all vampires have a soulmate. Human, witch, werewolf, wizard... it doesn't really matter what species. But Tom here has chosen you as his soulmate so congratulations. Yep, that's pretty much everything." Jay explained.

"Maisie? You need to breathe." Max told me. I sucked in a huge breath when I realized I had been holding it.

Then I started to hyperventilate.

"No, Maisie, relax, you'll get the hang of things soon. I know it's a lot to take in but-"

"You're all crazy people! Where the hell am I?" I shouted, getting out of the bed. I backed up to the opposite side of the room until my back was against the wall. I slid down it. Chance sat right beside me.

"The Vampirian Palace." Siva told me.

Then everything went black.
